R-Shot
The strangely hypnotic graphics and soundtrack in R-Shot remind me just ever so slightly of the genius that was Rez. A space based shoot-em-up maybe, but it has something just a little bit extra.

Side Note: whilst thinking of Rez I had one of those big sparky fantastic ideas you just hope will come true. The formula: 2005 update of Rez + PSP + good headphones = me actually wanting to commute more. If someone reading has this in their power - get on it now!

Team Up
Utilise the different skills of the Girls Inc. team (disappointingly they are completely unrelated to the teen girl squad) to slide, jump, throw, stack & walk them around the levels in this nice little platform type game to keep you busy on a Friday.

The Pink Room
Supposedly a parody of The Crimson Room, The Pink Room certainly lives up to it's name, but I'm not sure if I'm just being thick, or if part of the parody is that you can't do much in the game, but I didn't get very far with this before I decided I had better things to do with my day. Perhaps some of you point'n'click freaks out there can shed some light on the matter. Rantings in the comments as per usual. For reference I got the Furikake and the Key before I quit out.

PS. I don't know if it was intentional, but rumour has it that the next game in the Crimson, Viridian, Blue series is actually The Pink Room, or maybe The Pink Prison. If you have any info on this drop the gossip in the comments as well.

Update: I've actually gotten around to coming back and finshing this one now and my advice is to not bother. It's very unsatisfying as a game, and not very funny as a parody. We'll just have to wait for the Pink Prison to come out.

Escape From Detention
As a point'n'click addict you've escaped from rooms (of varying colours), a house (or two), now it's back to school with you, to escape from detention.

Organise your team of errant school kids to escape first the detention room, and then the school without waking the principal, and avoiding the slavering jaws of the caretaker's dog. A nice little point and click game for a Sunday. The whole team thing is a kind of cool feature - only certain members of the team can do certain tasks, and I'm always a sucker for pixel graphics.

Good luck with your escape! Help, blood, sweat, tears, and bragging in the comments as usual [via ajkul].

The Dead Case
It was dark, very dark, but then you expect that in a buried coffin, don't you?

Thanks to everyone who has sent me a link to this dark slice of point'n'clickery (there have actually been loads of you), perhaps you can post help for folks like me who still haven't found time to play in the comments. What can I say? I've been busy alright?

Ray Room
Oh ambassador, with these point'n'click games you are really spoiling us! Not one, but two, examples of mouse clicking madness for you this fine Friday evening.

The Ray Room is confusingly Taiwanese (I think), but graphically cool, it has me stumped once again though. Here's my inventory: a power cable, chopsticks, a CD-ROM, a small packet with writing on it, a bowl, a book, a PlayStation controller, a PlayStation 2, a key and, my most favourite thing I've found in a point'n'click game ever, a little cat. I can also get some (incomprehensible) writing on the computer. But what next?

Help, blood, sweat, and tears in the comments as usual.

Update: I have now completed this one - it has one of the most anti-climatic endings I've come across. Be prepared to say "Oh, is that it?"

Room
You wake up in a strange room, with no food or water, and you need to escape???? Not the most original plot in the world of the point'n'click game (although some would argue this is the only plot they have), and not the most original name either. The Room? I'd have hated to have been at the endless brain-storming sessions where they came up with that one: "Fu*k it. Lets just call in 'The Room' and get down the pub". On second thoughts perhaps I wouldn't have hated it so much...

Anyway my ranting aside, which is probably brought on more by a lack of sleep, and excess of stress this week, more than anything else, this seems to be rather a good game, and after a short playing session it has me stumped, which is always a good sign.

I have in my possession a morse code crib sheet, an un-useful penknife, a skull, a light-bulb, a shiny thing I think is a water-bottle, and a Chinese book. I also think I need to do something with the wooden board with the switch and the twisty things in the picture, but lord knows what. Any ideas my game-addicted friends?

As usual hints, tips, questions & rants in the comments for this post. [game by nnesoft].

Blasteroids
Blasteroids has many power-ups that makes it entirely different to Asteroids...well, ok, it's almost exactly the same, but if you're going to make a game almost exactly the same as another one Asteroids is a good one to pick. 'X' to shoot, <space> to bomb, cursor keys to move (volume up on headphones is also quite nice).

Exmortis
First things first - don't even bother clicking on this game until it's dark in whatever time-zone you're in. Also I recommend waiting until you're on your own, and preferably you should crank the sound up too. Having spare underpants to hand is also advisable if you are of a nervous disposition. That's the prerequisites over and done with on with the game...

I was a bit dubious at first whether exmortis even was a point'n'click game, it seemed like a simple, if very spooky, flash toy with no real purpose, until I found the locked safe and figured there must be something more going on than I realised at first. Even now (I haven't completed the game), I'm not totally sure what the eventual goal is, but a little point'n'click experience has taught me that it's almost certainly to escape the house (express solution: don't enter the house at the begining and walk away while you can!).

So far I've reached the library (pictured) and figured out that I need to collect some symbols - I don't think I have them all. Post hints, and ask for help, in the comments to this post, but for now I'm off to bed (to have nightmares) and I'll be trying to complete this one in the morning. [hosted at newgrounds].

PS. Ultra-simple first hurdle hint: click 'play this game' on the newgrounds page to play this game!

The House
Another day, another point'n'click game. And you thought Monday was going to be boring? Anode Et Cathode the same people who brought you Le Bureau now bring you The House (La Maison?). This one looks harder than Le Bureau, and I haven't got very far with it in the 5 minutes I had to tinker with it, hopefully I'll complete it tonight after work, by which time I'm sure a whole walkthru will have been posted in the comments for this post (go on guys'n'gals).

Update: Due to a server outage at work I actually got this one completed in the morning, and thanks to all the comments posted now there's probably a complete walkthru if you want to trawl thru for help.

The Blue Chamber
If you haven't pirated the password paid the yen to play it yet I highly recommend playing the blue chamber, another room escaping installment from the makers of the crimson room and the viridian room, which is now out to play (ethically) for free.

PADI Sky Diver
Scuba gear, an axe, a paddling pool and some skyscraper rooftops: all the right ingredients for a little game of 'sky-diving'.
