Hunting vigorously through the lazylaces archives for "gotmail" unearthed the following results...

The Daydream
When the gotmail team trap you in a child's room in their new game, "The Daydream", you know that escaping isn't going to be... wait for it... wait for it... it isn't going to be child's play. Ahhhh... sometimes these puns just write themselves, which is why I take no responsibility for that one. Anyway, on with the point'n'clicking whilst we groove on down to this infectious xylophone riff [subbed by Michel, Helanren, Crymoon, Andy from Encino, Escaper, evil smile & Meeker].

S24 Room
Somewhere along the line I missed S24 Room. It's another escape the room game from the gotmail crew, which is always a good thing, but this time it's with a cute koala motif, which is a nice addition. As far as I can make out from a google translation (it's in Japanese) the game is promoting car insurance and the koala is the company's trademark [subbed by kaylou & Andy from Encino].

JOBPico
Hmmm.... bizarrely self-referential, JOBPico is the latest point'n'click from the gotmail team, in which you must escape the room, in order to get a job designing escape the room games.... job number one should you escape the room, and get the escape the room designing job, is to design an escape the room game where the prize for escaping is to design an escape the room game, the winner of which will design an escape the room game where..... hang on. I'm just making this up now, and I'm totally confusing myself. Suffice to say rooms and escaping play a significant role in JOBPico [subbed by xReiya].

Bon Voyage
Tricky escape the room style puzzles abound when the fiendish gotmail.jp team set their minds to it, and Bon Voyage delivers just that, as you might expect, in another slick looking point'n'click package [subbed by Scott, Cyberjar88, Helanren, J, anon, Nick S The Hamster & Cornboy].

Nigepico 1.2
Nigepico was, if I remember rightly, the first game from the GotMail team, and it has now received a few updates in Nigepico 1.2 including, crucially, an option to play in English. You're still trying to escape from the hair salon though which I'm sure will go against your natural instincts for some of you...yes, I'm looking at you Jennifer [subbed by handyrman & Cornboy].

Ninja House
A Ninja House is probably one that is located in Japan that you would like to escape (unless the ninja in question is your best buddy). And thus you have the basic premise of the game in it's name... [subbed by winniethepooh].

JPRS24 Escape
JPRS24 Escape is an escape the room game with some fine graphics (I believe the team behind it are connected to gotmail, and point'n'click aficionados will spot the similarities straight away) that initially seems hard to understand (it's in Japanese). But once you get passed the intro screens, which I found totally incomprehensible (the skip button is your friend), things get more familiar and playable [subbed by Mystery & Mantari].

Legend Room
Legend Room is a promotional Japanese point'n'click game (apparently by the gotmail team) with a nice twist - the action is in video "live" action, which really gives the thing a very nice visual look. Unfortunately that also means the load times are rather long, but it's worth the wait [subbed by Mystery, Werewolf & im4noles2].

Strawberry Tomato
Strawberry Tomato is a victim of it's own success, or rather of the success of the previous Gotmail games. Yes it's got the familiar high quality graphics, yes it has some nice point'n'click puzzles to figure out, yes the "escape the room" goal is one that we know and love. But it's all somewhat overshadowed by the difficulty in loading the thing - it's so popular that if you are lucky enough to get the thing loading you can almost see each byte arriving one by one. So much so that sopdox has sent in a pre-game walkthough which I'm going to include as it's rather accurate and helpful:

Pre-Game Walkthrough:
1. Wake up, do not stop for the bathroom or anything else, go to your computer. Type URL in browser.

2. Get black screen with Japanese writing with Yellow Japanese word in the middle. Don't bother clicking, this is the Server to Busy page. Refresh, refresh, refresh, refresh OOOH! you got a black screen with a red outline in the middle.

3. Go to the bathroom. Come back, if you're lucky you got a picture with a language choice. Cool, make your selection. If not, repeat step #2. Finally get screen with status bar. Oh no! No numbers on the status bar, status bar not moving. Repeat step 2 again. Continue refreshing until your status bar reads 0%.

4. Take your shower, get dressed for work/school/whatever. Have breakfast, drink coffee or tea and read the morning paper. Check your computer screen, oh good you're at 2%.

5. Leave your house, go to work, school, or whatever you had planned for your day.

6. Come home, have dinner, watch television, read, check your e-mail, rent a movie or go out and see one. Come back, get ready for bed. Check your computer screen...90% Maybe tomorrow you can actually play.

And whatever you do don't accidentally shut your game off, or it's back to step 1...

The Shochu Bar
Great. It's Friday, the weekend is just around the corner, and there's a new Gotmail game, called "The Shochu Bar", for us to point'n'click around today whilst we should be working. That's after we've finished waiting for it to load (point'n'click quality takes time to arrive apparently). The only question is, what is Shochu? [subbed by anon, Mantari, laragosta & Nicop].

Vision Museum
Vision Museum is the latest point'n'click game from the Gotmail Crew, released hot on the heels of The Scrapper. This would normally be excellent news all round, but the load times on this one are enormous (that's if it doesn't crash part way thru like it did for me a million times), and are a sour note on what is otherwise an excellent game once you finally get going. Anyway if you have a bag of patience and something time consuming to do while it loads give it a go [subbed by Michael Merry, carm, chuck, MsInterpret, Mantari, Oo, U2isdebest, Ross & Ray].

UPDATE: Use http://game3.gotmail.jp/VisionMuseum/ for faster loading [thanks Mantari].

The Scrapper
The Scrapper is the latest addition to the awesome Gotmail.jp suite of point'n'click games, and if you are all sad and depressed that this will never be as good as the earlier games (cheer up sadster), there are little scraps (geddit?) of the older games contained within for you to get all misty-eyed and reminiscent over. As always the aim of the game is to escape the room, which makes ducking under the door to get in at the beginning the act of a point'n'click masochist. Fortunately for us I'm sure that describes us all... [subbed by Michael Merry, Nicop, CountPondus, f_raze, Mantari, Pahsimeroi, Helanren, nina, Oo, U2isdebest, laserleaser, jas & carm].

PS. I believe the next Gotmail game, Vision Museum, is out on Wednesday.
