Become An M&M
Become An M&M is a silly flash toy, in which you can build your own M&M alter-ego (use the "character creator link"). Silly, but fun, that is. I'm particularly proud of the way I've captured my green skin in mine... [subbed by Cyberjar88].

Google Lego
Oh g33kiness to the power of 2: today Google celebrates the 50th birthday of Lego with one of those funky little custom logos :) It's a shame you don't see it when you're using one of the funky new themes though (I know they're not really new, but loads of new ones have been added just recently).

A while back one Musical Friday I featured the excellent acoustic sounds of Cillian Foster and he's written back to me to let me know that his band, GDC, are taking part in a band competition with the top prize being a record deal. So if you'd like to support a fellow lazylacer you can head on over to Bodog and vote for GDC (note: registration required) now... and maybe, just maybe, help GDC get that record deal. As a reminder I've posted my favourite track "Jazz" (above) and another song "Off My Chest" (below).

Neon Bible
Should I have posted Neon Bible for Musical Friday, or should it be posted under point'n'click games? I just don't know. This flash "thing" is an interactive music video for Arcade Fire and is nice for tinkering around with, as well as having a listen to. Enjoy [subbed by randomguy & Minxxo].

Happy 9th Birthday
Happy 9th Birthday Google, it seems like it's been much longer, and of course you're so mature, but I guess you're still just a young little whipper-snapper really. If you give us some advanced warning of your 10th next year we'll make sure we've baked you a cake...

Due to some technical snafu somewhere along the line I don't seem to be able to post pictures right now, so you'll have to forgo the screenshot, but Warbears fans should check out the revamped No new games unfortunately, there is some "coming soon"news though, but it's got a whole virtual world community upgrade thing. Register and make your own little character, then wonder around and talk to folk. Lovely, if that kind of thing floats your boat [subbed by Calvin].

UPDATE: Yeh - sorted the picture problem.

I know "The Whistling Song" (aka Peter, Bjorn & John's - "Young Folks") isn't a new song, but I'm hearing it everywhere just recently and I love it. And it turns out the video is pretty neat too.

Internet People is a cheesy, but excellent, little Friday tune which name checks a whole load of internet fads - see how many you can spot, and remember. I'm basically just linking it because of the Homestar references though. And talking about internet fad's if you are on fb, there's now a lazylaces group [via op-pop]

Gorilla vrs. Phil Collins vrs. Chocolate
Clearly if you want to promote chocolate the best way of doing it is to use a Gorilla drumming a Phil Collins song. You don't have to be a marketing genius to know that. Unnecessary, random, somewhat silly, but still great.

Machinarium (Coming Not So Soon)
It's a long way off yet (the second half of '08), but it's great news to hear that the creators of Samorost have a new game in production, and the screenshots of Machinarium make it look like something that is well worth waiting for. It's billed as a "full scale adventure game" so there should be plenty to play, I just hope it isn't only "pay-to-play", and at least some of it goes on-line. That said I'll probably be digging the wallet out for this one if I have to [via nordinho].

Feed The Head (Updated)
Patrick writes to tell me that surrealist thing/game "Feed The Head" has been updated with an extra large dose of weird. I, however, am struggling to work out what is new, and what I just didn't find first time round.... anyway it's still a nice thing to distract you between games, just let me know what's new. I don't remember being able to open the head, and I never changed the nose before, but it's perfectly possible I just missed these before... [subbed and created by Patrick].

UPDATE: Oh goodness. Keep pulling noses! I ended up playing a weird game of keepy-uppy, and then got the head to run! Surreal magic.

2D Depot (Updated)
Word on the street is that 2D Depot (originally featured back in May) has released an update. It's still far from complete (perhaps it never will be) but if you enjoyed it last time, and played as far as you could, there's more there for you to tinker with now [subbed by Greame (no relation) & Mantari].
