TV Guide (UK)
The TV Guide (UK) web site is not a guide to the transvestites of Great Britain, but is a very useful (if you are in the UK like I am), and neatly implemented, on-line televsion guide. All the major channels are shown, including the popular satellite/cable channels, with the option to add other channels of your choice, in an easy to read and understand time grid, showing 3 hours at a time. Now I can finally optimize what little televsion viewing time I get so I can view the maximum number of crime dramas (they are so addicting). A very useful site to bookmark.

Speed Test
Speed Test is a nice little graphical flash tool that will measure the speed of your internet connection for you, for both downloads and uploads, if you are interested in that sort of thing (I am sadly), or if you want to check whether the figures your ISP gave you are anywhere near accurate [via op-pop].

Sudoku
A while back Swiss Thomas got me addicted to his version of Mahjongg Solitaire, and I'm already addicted to sudoku (wiki description), so I can see a whole heap of time disappearing into his version of sudoku [created & subbed by Swiss Thomas].

OK Go - Here It Goes Again is silly, silly, silly and I love it for it, whether it's technically not musical Friday or not. *Checks double negatives*. That is what I meant [subbed by Hazel & Pirate Tink].

Flash Game Design Competition
I know that a number of my visitors write their own games and so you might be interested in the Flash Game Design Competition being hosted by my friend Jay. There are some nice prizes on offer including a fine Black Nintendo DS held briefly by me as I posted it out of Europe to the US for Jay. For the rest of us, who don't write games, we can wait with baited breath in the hope that some cool point'n'click entries are created for us to play with :o)

Oceangram
Oceangram is the internet version of sending a message in a bottle, you write the message, seal it in a bottle, and send it off into the ocean. Someone from around the world may pick it up from the ocean and read it. To be filed under "why didn't I think of that", or "what the?" [subbed by Jackie K].

Stressed out this week? Need to chill out? Over The Rainbow will sort you out like you never thought was possible, easily one of the most beautiful things I have listened to ever. I sought it out on youtube after catching it at 5.45am on the radio the other day (the perfect time for this song, out and about on empty streets, if you are up early one day). Enjoy the song, but while you listen, take a minute to remember Israel 'Iz' Kamakawiwo'Ole, who is no longer with us to sing us songs and make our lives richer for it. We salute you Iz.

The Trekkie Grail
An excellent video mashup of the "Knights of the Round Table" sung by the cast of Star Trek is perfect for a musical Lazylaces Friday. It takes me back to the time those nice Lego men covered it... [subbed by Sharee].

More Balls?
Some hot insider info has reached me regarding the follow up to the Sony bouncing balls ad (which is a lovely thing to revisit once in a while). The next advert is currently in production and you can follow it's progress here as they are blogging the whole thing. From what I'm seeing it looks like this one replaces the coloured balls with paint, but my source won't confirm anything for sure. However I bring it up now, as they say there will be some point and click content as part of the promotion. Excellent news. Watch this space and I'll update you as I learn more :o)
