Very addictive flash game from the Japanese Shockwave site. As far as I can make out you need to create rows of 3 or more animals to remove them from the board - the more you remove in one go - or manage to remove by cascade - the more points you get. At the start of ech level it tells you the number of each kind of animal you have to remove. Move the items on the board by clicking on adjacent items you want to swap - and watch out for the flashing bonus sqaures.
I used to ask Jeeves quite a lot as I think it's quite a nice way to search but eventually I'd always return to the old favourite. Now there's a new kid on the block - ask honest John. He always comes up with a pukka answer to your question - well normally his own questions but you can can't have everything. All of the answers seem to be entertaining but of no use what so ever.
According to the 'How British are you?' test I took last night I am 100% British - which is very reassuring to know as while I might have had fish and chips for dinner on Thursday I haven't had a single cup of tea this week. Anyway here are those results in full:
Jolly good, wot! Anyone for tennis? That'll be ten ponies, guv. You're the epitome of everything that is english. Yey :) Hoist that Union Jack!
I received a newsletter from Blackwells books yesterday which included a list of previously censored books - I'd link to this directly but their session ID thingumy makes this pointless as you'll only get redirected to their homepage. Of 27 previously banned books I had read 3 - which is quite a poor hit rate on my part really. Of these 3 I loved Animal Farm and 1984 - 1984 in particular is one of the most captivating stories I have ever read - but The Catcher in the Rye was a very dull read. I think I must have massively missed the point of the book as it has such a buzz around it, but all it inspired me to do was read it as quickly as possible and find something else to read. Thanks to behindthename I - Graeme Walton - am feeling particularly like a gravelly homestead near a steam today. The origin of names can be truely bizarre.
Currently going slightly retro with my listening thanks to the 90's mixes by DJ Sandstorm. Some fond memories for me hidden amongst these mixes - mainly of nights out during my university years.
Finally - I have been browsing through my account details with my web host this morning and have discovered I can get to my web logs if I request access. One request and some analysis coming right up. I can also customise my 404 page now as well which I'll be getting down to this week I hope.
Update: The original URL this post refered to no longer works but I've repointed it waycooljnr who have a zipped copy. If you can't get hold of matrix cow drop me a line (address at the bottom of the page) and I'll mail you a copy. If I can sort out the bandwidth I might even host a copy for download.
Another Update: This clip is actually from the film Kung Pow if you're interested in seeing more. I haven't seen it myself but I'd be interested in a review from anyone that has.
*Ouch* - on-line interactive flash nasal hair plucker - I kid you not. Strangely addictive despite how much it might make your eyes water. Hosted at nobodyhere which is worth a look in it's own right. [Discovered via grayblog.]
I remember with great fondness playing Pole Position on my dad's Atari 800 when I was a young lad. Everyone else might have had a Sinclair Spectrum or Commadore 64 but I really loved that Atari. More great retro computer ads can be found at sbrowing.com. [Link found at opticalpoptitude.]
If I were a super hero this would be me :o) I had great fun coming up with this using the Hero Machine. I'm particularly proud of the flowing moustache and blue pants - the big guns are just for effect - I'm sooo super-hero-ly I don't really need them. My special super power is facial hair growth and by day I masquerade as a web developer. [Linkage from zFilter]
Interactive office flash animation fun - much more animated than me today at work. Spent the morning wrestling with a Kodak i260 scanner which refused to behave. Got me in such a bad mood that I was very glad to get home today - but now I have the technical report I was meant to be writing to do over the weekend. Oh well I had nothing else planned.
