This should have really been posted yesterday for (the recently missing) Lazylaces Musical Friday, but I hadn't heard of Antony And The Johnsons until I saw them on the Jonathan Ross show last night. What can I say? I just find Antony's voice bewitching, and the music is so chilled out, which is exactly my cup of tea. Anyway if you visit the site you'll find versions of several songs accompanied by animations by Adam Shecter, check "Hope There's Someone", "Mysteries Of Love", and "The Lake".

You remember a long time back I posted a link to the church sign generator, well the warning label generator is a nice twist on the same idea. Have fun generating your own warning label for your own web site, bedroom door, whatever.

If you have your own web site pop on over to Silktide SiteScore to see how your site rates for marketing, design, accessibility, experience, and visitor opinion. It provides a very good analysis of your site and is free with no registration required. As a result of my 7.9/10 score, I'll be improving LL's accessibility soon, as that's where I scored poorly (which I wouldn't have thought of without using this tool).

In case you haven't had your daily dose of strange, here is a flash movie of some horses that sing calming doo-wop music to you when you click on them. Strangely entertaining. I personally recommend leaving the horse on the far left silent for the best effect [subbed by pigbuster].

I haven't seen the Working Daze comic before, as far as I'm aware it's not syndicated in any UK publication (well, not one I read anyway), but as I work a web developer some card thought this strip would appeal to me. It tickled my fancy - I'll be checking out Working Daze again in the future.

Right, I fully admit a BBC News story about proposed cheaper peak time rail fares into London Waterloo station has a limited audience (me, and at best 1% of you guys), but anything that reduces my commuting bill (over £220 pounds a month currently) is absolutely superb news worth shouting about for me. And look at this way, the less money I'm spending on travel, the more I have for my ever increasing web hosting bills for Lazylaces (don't even ask - it's getting depressing).

Not quite a game, but half interactive comic, The Spider Cliff Mysteries require some pointing and some clicking but aren't really point'n'click adventures, they make a nice diversion though. And if, like me, you've never seen them before, there's absolutely loads to catch up on [subbed by Aurora].

The London Black Cab is set to invade the streets of the USA. Hwah Hwah Hwah! First the cabs, then we'll send you London cabbies (an experience to behold - bless them), and before you it the whole of the States will be drinking tea and playing cricket [via Le Furet Rouge].

I've not really had a chance to use it in anger yet, but the Internet Explorer Developer Toolbar (Beta) looks kind of useful for web development - especially for people like me who do a lot of IE centric development for Intranets (I'm guessing you'd need FF and Opera developer toolbars as well to do this thing really seriously). Anyway, what does it offer:
- Explore and modify the document object model (DOM) of a Web page.
- Locate and select specific elements on a Web page through a variety of techniques.
- Selectively disable Internet Explorer settings.
- View HTML object class names, ID's, and details such as link paths, tab index values, and access keys.
- Outline tables, table cells, images, or selected tags.
- Validate HTML, CSS, WAI, and RSS Web feed links.
- Display image dimensions, file sizes, path information, and alternate (ALT) text.
- Immediately resize the browser window to a new resolution.
- Selectively clear the browser cache and saved cookies. Choose from all objects or those associated with a given domain.
- Choose direct links to W3C specification references, the Internet Explorer team weblog (blog), and other resources.
- Display a fully featured design ruler to help accurately align objects on your pages.

Question my taste in films, I don't care, but I loved The Transporter, so I was thrilled to hear there was a Transporter 2 (out now in the US, still waiting here in the UK). For fans of fast saloon cars you'll notice it's an Audi this time rather than a Beamer, *drool*, in the starring role.

I'm away from my home PC most of this week so I have to take the chance to post when and where I can. Today my work PC before I start for the day! I haven't got the atmosphere, here at my desk, for Tales Of The Scarecrow, really you need the lights down low and the sound up, but the amount of work I have to do today is pretty scarey. Anyway, this is one of the best flash animations I've seen in the lead up to Halloween. Enjoy, but don't have nightmares [subbed by peek].
