In the saga of
point'n'click games first there was the era of "escape the room", then there was the era of the film tie-in, and now there is the era of the cute comic caper. Maybe anyway. There's lots of cute games today and the
3 Wish Rat is a particularly good example. A lot harder than I was expecting when I first saw it [

The easiest, but still great looking,
point'n'click game ever. If you're stuck with

Gorax is as cute as a button (I think that's how the saying goes - don't get me wrong I'm not some kind of ultra-weirdo who finds buttons cute), but I also think he's meant to be a little devil. Well he is red and appears to have horns. What does it say about me that I find the devil cute? Well we did establish yesterday at work that I have no morals, so that might explain it. Yes, if you have a moral dilemma, and need someone to tell you to do the wrong thing, come to me, you'll find I have a healthy disregard for scruples. Anyway, I digress, I believe there is a

Kind of a French
point'n'click adventure meets platform game, I'm sure
N.E.S.S. will keep you amused...well it's more of a platform game than a
point'n'click adventure, I suppose....ok, it's more about blasting spiders with a big gun than anything else...er...ok it's more about getting pounced upon by large groups of spiders and getting killed is what it is. You know, maybe I'm not very good at this one?
Judging by the popularity of
Hapland I'm guessing
Free The Balloon will be another popular stickman
point'n'click puzzle. I don't know if I dare say it though, but these games just don't do it for me. Sorry. I guess I pine for the litter bins and Apple Macs of some other games I could mention. Still I'm guessing you'll all make something good of it [

You know what I'm like with languages other then English, but while
L'Affaire Lectron might be in Portuguese, I'm fairly confident in saying, this time, that it's actually in French. I think it's something to do with an election, you can definately earn euros (randomly as far as I can tell - 4000 for answering the phone?) and spend them travelling the Metro. I'm afraid I haven't got much futher than that with this
point'n'click yet, but I'm sure you'll put me to shame by completing it by the time I'm up tomorrow [

The White Chamber is an ideal
point'n'click game for a Sunday as you can start off by letting the 306mb
download arrive while you're eating a big Sunday lunch. Hmmmm....roast beef.
Anyway once you have it installed you start off in your usual point'n'click senario - dazed and confused with no idea where you are. Someone really should look into the large amount of abductions that are occurring these days. This time you're not just stuck in a room, but in a coffin, on a space station. Cripes! Then it's time to click your way around to see what you can find is this rather lush anime style-e adventure.
I've worked out how to get the power on, but I'd really like to know where I can find some pukka dna. I'm sure one of you will be able to help me out. Enjoy [thanks Yvonne].
The fifth and final game for this Friday (check down the page for the others lazybones),
Wombat Tale sees you farming Russian tomatoes for a group of Australian (but Russian speaking) wombats. This is quite easily the most surreal
point'n'click game of the year both in concept and execution, and I say that with some confidence even though it's only June now. I accidently poisoned my wombats (beware! the yellow tomatoes) which I think shortens the game.

Missing
the last tube in the
game, is mainly more scary than in
real life, as in the game you have limited time periods of adventuring (it's
point'n'clickesque, but you have to use that archaic keyboard thingumy on your 'puter which makes it a bit different) before something
nasty catches you, rather than in real life where you retire to the coziness of Maccy D's on
The Strand (it's open
24 hrs) during the twilight hours, where it might be scary, but it has the benefit of being tasty as well. Not that that has ever happened to
me.
BTW: This is now 6786 in a series of film related games, proving once and for all that you can no longer release a film without an on-line game associated with it.
Cobaias would be a much easier
point'n'click game if it loaded properly (it seemed to take a million attempts in
Opera - it does work eventually though) and:
