If you get stuck due to not understanding Japanese whilst playing
Deka 2 at least you can shoot everything in sight as you're armed in this
point'n'click game...
Judging by the number of people that have managed to mail me a link to
Hapland 2 in the short amount of time that it has been out (
thank you all) this is going to be one of the most popular
point'n'click games ever. Time will tell. Now stop mailing it to me. Seriously. Stop it. There's only so much my inbox can take and you're making it really hard for me to find all the really great deals on Rolexes I get sent.
A great find for me, as while I prefer
The Bourne Identity over the
The Bourne Supremacy, I'm a fan of both films (each making their way into my limited DVD collection), so the fact that the 2nd film has a
point'n'click game attached to it, seems like they had me in mind when they made it. Nice to play, but not overly hard, you can unlock DVD extras if you're into it, and (take note here games designers) there is a
choice of languages to play with.
I really wasn't sure whether or not to post
The Ink Quest as a
game, but even if it is very weird I know it will appeal to all you
point'n'clickers, you'll want to find all the hidden scerets and try to find a 'solution'. I'm not even sure there is one, at least not one you can find without being on some kind mind-altering drug. Personally I'm still enjoying the entirely unexpected
Kylie bit.
You're going to have to make do with basking in the superb style of
T-310V, because I'll be damned if anyone will know what's going on. Being in a language you don't understand certainly makes a
point'n'click adventure harder.
The strangely surreal and beautiful world of
Shanabea is certainly a departure from your regular
point'n'click. Nice.
Winooz really is a very cute
point'n'click adventure. As far as I could tell you have to gather as many points as possible before you wake up and discover it was all a dream, or maybe that's just what happens when you aren't doing very well...anyway my recommendation for this one is to not be too shy about using the tab key, finding some of the items is very tricky without it. Enjoy.
"
Who Killed K.S.Lam?" is a murder mystery that proves that good old HTML can do everything
flash can when it comes to
point'n'click adventures. Except provide sound effects. And animation. And background music. It's still good fun though. And before you mention it I do really know that HTML can actually do all those things, but it's not the same is it? [
thanks Karlee G].
Update: This game isn't as innocent as it looks - you have been warned!
Graphically it's back to basics with the
Smart Stick Adventure, but it's still a nice combo of
point'n'click thinking and arcade timing which is kind of appealing. The music's cool too, well for the first 100 loops anyway [
thanks ron w].
Just as you're thinking how slow
YHJ Adventure IV is starting out you get hacked to death. And again. And again. This is a fairly blood thirsty
point'n'click adventure.
It's gaming déjà vu with escape the
flooded room. I even had to double check I hadn't posted it before after reading the title. Escape the room? When did I
ever have to do that in a
point'n'click game before? Anyway, deep cynicism aside I do love these things, but really can we have a new script? I quote:
"Hmmm...where am I?"
"I have big headache"
"Hmmm...this is not my bed..."
"I can't remember anything...."
"Ehh...I'm going to open my eyes..."
Arrrrrrrgggggh. Anyway, the big difference in this one is that it's all against the clock as you try to avoid electrocution and drowning. Good luck, even if I think most of you won't find it a challenge by now [thanks ron].
Ps. Sorry if you've mailed in anything over the last week or so and I haven't replied or done anything with it, my mail server has been playing up and I appear to have lost about a week's worth of e-mail. Re-send if you had anything good for me (but you can keep your cheap viagra).
Before I go any further I need to say right up front that I'm putting this into the
very difficult category of
point'n'click games. If you're looking for an easy game look away now.
Ángeles y Demonios (Angels And Demons) seems to have some very cool features - on-line chat with other players, including video and audio if the pop-up I got was anything to go by, a direct link to google which always suggests a wider scope of puzzle that I enjoy, not to mention nice graphics and music,
but it's all in Spanish which makes it very hard to break into. To be honest with you apart from examining all the items I didn't get any further than the screenshot above. Let me know if you fare any better [
thanks Mike L].
