Hunting vigorously through the lazylaces archives for "point'n'click" unearthed the following results...
I'd love to say there's some clever joke about posting a game called
1 Time Never for
post 1111, but I'll be damned if I'm intelligent enough for that kind of thing. Shear coincidence only I can assure you. Anyway...
Even though One Time Never doesn't find us trapped in a room with an Apple Mac that we inexplicably want to escape (are all these games' designers PC fans or something?), it still manages to be a point'n'click game, so you can dust down that left click button and get to it. It seems to get harder as you go, but I don't think I've got too far yet... shouts for help etc in the comments as usual.
I don't know where I am...I don't know what I'm doing here...I just know I have to get out. Familiar Story? Connoisseurs of the
point'n'click are used to getting inexplicably trapped in rooms they desperately want to escape from by now, but that doesn't stop you does it?
The Doors sees you trapped in a room with lots of doors out (gettit?), if you're naive you might think one of them leads directly to the exit, but I'm afraid these things are never that simple my friend [
thanks meme].
The deceptively simple world of
hapland has been frustrating
point'n'clickers for a while now, but has been curiously missing from the world of
lazylaces. Now however this oversight has been rectified. That's your Thursday f**ked.
Strictly for the hardcore
point'n'clicker (well if you don't speak/read japanese anyway)
swan's room was causing a stir in the
comments for
shift so here it is in it's own right. Help from anyone who could translate the thing for us would be much appreciated...(btw - is it me or is there always a
mac in these rooms we get trapped in?).
Hold the front page! Hold whatever you are doing! You have to play this now!
Point'n'click game? Check! Beautiful graphics? Check! Magical sounds? Check! Ability to distract you from whatever you should be doing? Check! If
Shift doesn't make you all warm and fuzzy inside you're a cold hearted beast I tells yer! Monday blues be gone! Too many exclamation marks? Maybe! *Deep breaths*

More of
Sabrina's adventures for your
point'n'clicking delight (thanks to the
commentators for picking up on this
gem).
Sangar Sabrina is definately an easier game (use the
tab key if you really are stuck, but you shouldn't have to) but has a bit more of that lovely
samorost vibe - it doesn't come close to the
original in my book though.
I'm working hard at the moment. The snow I saw in Aberdeen at the weekend (pics to follow as soon as I get round to unpacking) has followed me back to London. I need cheering up. What I need is a really good new
point'n'click game. What I need is another installment of
samorost-esque goodness. And what do you know? There is
one. Stop what you are doing and get playing now!
If you're a
point'n'click addict waking up in a strange room after drinking too much last night will be a very familiar and
crimson-esque experience. For the rest of you I warn you now before you
escape the room you may want to order a new mouse for when you, very quickly, wear your current one out [
ta to newgrounds, the hosts, and looby for the link].
Ring ring ring...
banana...er...
the phone. Not an
annoying fruit based song, but a rather strange and creepy variety of
point'n'click game (I'm not sure that's totally the right category for this one, but you'll get the idea). Try and enjoy this high brow immersive flash thing courtesy of
aooa, even if I have got
that song going round your head now [
ta chockie].
Billed as not only the "hardest riddle on the internet" but also "NOT a
point'n'click" adventure, I'm fairly certain you guys will have something to say about
this one - even if it's only "I completed this months ago, what are you on about Graeme?". Enjoy, if you haven't seen it before.
IMPORTANT NOTE RE SPOILERS: Following a note from the author of the game requesting all spoilers be removed I've done my best to remove them all. Sorry to everyone who has had comments removed. Hints are ok but spoilers, like the name, suggests, spoil the fun of the game. I'll be periodically monitoring and removing any new spoilers.
It's rather an odd
point'n'click game, but you have to click around a lot to escape a room so the
dark room definately meets all the requirements. Graphically it reminds me a little of
Tron, which is a bit odd for this type of game.
Well here it is,
MOTAS (
Mystery
Of
Time
And
Space). Considered by many to be the granddaddy of all
point'n'click games, I've been resisting posting it as I wanted to finish it before I did. However this is the New Years Link clearout and as I'm mailed a link to it every other week, and I haven't got round to playing it for so long, it's got to go. Maybe
your comments will finally help me finish the thing.
