The Second Door
After the note I got the other day about the upcoming release of The Second Door, it came as no surprise to receive another semi-cryptic note last night (I do enjoy a good cryptic note) telling me that The Second Door is available as of today. Time to unpack, and dust off, your best brain puzzle fans! Here's that email in full for you:

I need your help, the time has come again. The First Door failed, the people chasing me found me first. This time things will be different, this time things will end another way. The Second Door will open. A new path will be revealed. Please, find me. Solve the puzzles once again. Each door will contain a picture, a riddle that you need to solve to open the door and move on. Nothing will be hidden in the source code and the pictures do not need to be altered. Again, all the answers you give are there to help or hinder. Some will lead you to my new location, some will lead others away from me. This time we will succeed. With your help I can escape those chasing me. The Second Door opens, the quest begins anew. This Monday morning everything restarts. Find me again...

Remembrance Day led me to "In Flanders Fields", and A/B got me thinking about rhyme patterns in poetry. "In Flanders Fields" is a rondeau with a complex rhyming pattern, but it starts AABB, and each line has 8 syllables. Trying to take the numbered syllables, but doesn't seem to be making anything sensible. How far off am I?

I think you are using the wrong technique. The only problem I had (aside from finding a good online applet) was putting the message back together from the pieces generated.

Wikipedia references the poem "In Flanders Fields"... The poppies referred to in the poem grew in profusion in Flanders Field, where war casualties had been buried and thus became a symbol of Remembrance Day.

Perhaps related to the poem, as mentioned before...
