Ouverture Facile
Ouverture Facile isn't just another online puzzle game where you have to change the URL to progress to the next level, although you do have do a bit of that, this one also features some nice flash elements which really adds something to the whole experience. Oh, and it's in French, did I not mention that before? Well you might have guessed from the name anyway. "Ouverture Facile" is French for "Easy Opening", which I would think is probably telling us that the game is easy to open, but difficult to close/finish. Bonne chance mes amis! [subbed by Philippe].

I'm on 11, the one with the TV and the remote... I've turned the brightness up on my screen and nothing useful. I saw something about using Photoshop but I don't have it. If I could get something useful and not something that only someone who has figured it out already would understand that would be greatly appreciated.

Look at the screen from dif. angles whilst fiddling with the brightness etc - if that doesnt work - try another screen...

...I thought I figured out 31 - got AV**** as the answer but it doesnt work... am I on the right track pplz?

Heh...

I have a feeling that this game has the ability to make a lot of people feel dumb at one point or another... I'm still plugging away here at 11.

Can someone please help me with level 22 (decrypt - the one where you have to use levels 6 and 20). I can't seem to get the last step where you have to change the numbers into pictures. I tried everything but I still can't make the connection between my numbers and these symbols.

A tip/nudge in the right direction would be greatly appreciated! P.S. I'm a Mac user with a laptop (which means I don't have a numeric keyboard).

*sigh*

Now I am reduced to crawling on my hands and knees trying to look at this screen from different angles. Either I just don't see what others can or it was a prank and you just wanted to see if I'd crawl around my computer. :)

Rob, here's a hint:

Use photoshop.

Comment 528, Thursday, January 4th 2007 11:39:52 PM

Thanks for the advice Chiara, but I don't have photoshop.

Comment 529, Thursday, January 4th 2007 11:42:14 PM

Anytime. :) Hmm, photoshop isn't necessary. You can just use a program that allows you to alter images.

Would I be able to use Paint? Because I got it open now but am not sure how to get the picture onto the program as I can't seem to save it.

Comment 532, Thursday, January 4th 2007 11:51:23 PM

Chiara

Rob:

Take a screenshot (if you're a PC user, press the "prntscrn" key on the upper right part of your keyboard, then go to your paint program and paste it. If you're a Mac user, press the apple key, shift and '3', and the screenshot should be saved to your desktop.)

I'm not *exactly* sure if Paint has the certain feature that you need in order to solve the puzzle. Look at the title of the puzzle and the clue; hopefully you'll be able to figure out which feature you need to use on the photo altering program.

The clue says that "QUEEN OF HEARTS = D"
A better clue would be "KING OF DIAMONDS = C"

Maybe try going and doing something else for a few mins/hrs and then come back... ?
