The Bar Codes are the numerical Letters, Like A is 1 B is 2. It spells out the fruit names.

The numbers under the bar code represent letters of the alphabet - A=1, B=2, so the numbers each spell out a piece of fruit, put the fruit in the order of the books and voila!
Only look under if your still stuck!

George orwell is the letter S so it is the first piece of fruit - 16, 5, 1, 3, 8 - 16=p, 5=e, 1=a, 3=c, 8=h......... peach!

Ray Brodbury, Celcius is the letter A so it is the second peice of fruit, 16,5,1,18 - 16=p, 5=e, 1=a, 18=r........... pear!
