Shimaka Raderu
Despite being in a language I don't understand (it might be Japanese, but I'm really not sure) the idea behind Shimaka Raderu seems obvious. You've parachuted onto a forested island, and now you are trying to escape. Great stuff. And the graphics and sound effects are nice too. There are some odd bits though. That bit with the snake and crocodile for instance. If anyone could tell me what was going with that I'd love to know [subbed by Buji & Mystery].

Well, I finished it....I think....
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
A helicopter came and got me after I hit the left button once the radio was active. It looked like I got a ticket???
But I think there may be a better ending...
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
I never got in the cave and I never figured out what the altar thing was for on top of the mountain. I also never used many of the items I got

Momruoy: I found that ending too. There is more to do but I haven't found another ending yet. But things that helped:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Have you looked in the blue book at the other things to do?

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
There's something I nearly missed if you go down on the first screen

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
You can fill the bottle with water, but not in the most obvious place

I am still stuck, with one item missing from my inventory (top right) and no idea what to do next.

I got a different ending by
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
fixing up the boat and sailing away, but then I get caught in a storm and get sent back to the island
so I guess it's not a "real" ending...

Maybe you have to
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
use the helicopter?

Woohoo! Got the perfect end!

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
after you fix up the boat, click it and it will ask you if you want to sail away. click yes (the left button) and you will get in the boat. THEN use your fixed up radio and call the helicopter. You can only do this after you've picked up the treasure, so you can pay the helicopter...

help. I have the green orb in the idol. I have the wet cotton ball, water in the bottle, the stick, the sheet from the parachute, the radio with wires fixed, the book, the blue pieces of stuff, and the red rock.

I'm completely stuck!

I got the easy helicopter ending too.

About the altar thing:
You can place the broken green gem in the top, then fill the bottle with water and click near the gem. A blue circle should appear there and a triangle of light will go down to the hole in the bottom. You'll also notice your bottle will be half empty now. I never figured out what do to next.

I got bored with it.

To get into the cave, you have to set up the altar like Ellie has and then place the stick in the light so that it catches fire.
Now you have a light to get into the cave.

I can't figure out how to fix my radio.. I've fixed the wires and now I'm stuck.

Just use the knife. Seems silly, it's not like a paper would just attach itself to the point of a knife in real life. Ah the physics-breaking escape games.

If you've already repaired the boat, get in it, select yes to leave, fix your radio and call the helicopter after you've left the island.

Here’s a walkthrough. I think I covered most of the possibilities, but I can’t read anything, so I may easily have missed something.

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

To start, you haven’t much choice: head “north” (between the cliffs) to the view of the rock with scratches on it, then left to the forest scene with the gap in the bushes.

Notice the white fruit or cotton bolls (I thought cotton grew on bushes, not trees) or whatever. Pick one. Click on it twice to remove the hull.

Go left to the cabin and collect everything. You should end up with: rag-like stuff (it’s apparently tin from the roof), a bottle, a radio, and a book. Partially fix the radio: double click the image in inventory, click around the top right edge to turn it around, click the little door, click the wires to connect them.

Go back to the right, then forward between the bushes. Eek! Snake! Go back/down twice and let the alligator/crocodile (I never know which is which) take care of it. Go back/down to the beach scene with the eggshell; pick up the eggshell. (You can wet the cotton here, while you’re at it.) Go forward/up three times to the scene where the snake used to be; it’s now just a forest scene without a break in the bushes.

Go right to see the boat; click it to bring it out to shore. Notice that it still has a leak. (This is another place where you can wet the cotton.) Go left, and left again to the scene with the volcano in the distance. Pick up the rusty knife, and fill the bottle in the lake. (The lake won’t work for wetting the cotton — I think it needs seawater, and the lake must be fresh. On the other hand, the lake is the only place I’ve found to fill the bottle.)

Go left to the almost-enclosed forest scene; pick up the wood and the rope.

Go back to the scene with the scratched rock (right to forest scene without gap in bushes, back/down to gap in bushes, then right) and sharpen/clean the knife. Go back/down to the first scene (with the beach and cliffs) and use the knife on the big rock to get the sail for the boat. (No, I don’t know how that works. Rock canvas?) This is another spot where you can wet the cotton, if you haven’t already.

Go back to the volcano view (forward, left, forward, left), then go forward to the cliff face. Use the rope on the tree above, then climb it to get to the platform scene.

Put the eggshell in the platform. Pour the bottle into it. Light the wood underneath to get a torch. (I speak from experience that they don’t work like that, but whatever.)

Go right to the cave entrance. Get the lump of copper, then enter the cave. (You have to have a lit torch to go in.) Pick up the boat patch and the round gold thing, then click the stand to reveal the way down.

Go down to the treasure chamber and pick up the chest of gold. (It may take a few clicks, because I think you need to open it to make sure it’s really treasure before it’ll be willing to put it in your inventory.)

Assemble the power source for the radio: double-click the lump of copper, then add the wet cotton, then the tin “rags”. Double-click the radio, and put the “battery” in the square hole on the side.

For the “land rescue” ending:
(the one with the receipt or whatever it is), double-click the radio, click the dials, then choose the left-hand button.

For the “sea rescue” ending:
(the one with the sunset and moonlit scenes), go back to the boat, use the patch on it, then the sail, get in (the left-hand button is “OK” ), then use the radio when you’re out on the water.

There is also:
treasure-less versions of both endings (i.e., don’t go in the cave at all — in which case you don’t need the eggshell, bottle, or wood — or only go in to get the boat patch). I’m pretty sure that the sea rescue with treasure is the “perfect end”. I haven’t tried what happens if you get the gold disk but not the treasure chest.

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
once youve wet the cotton bud double click on it. then click the red stone from by the cave. then double click on it again and add the blue slate from beside the shed... then double click on the radio and click the new creation... this should then work :D

This game is quite logical actually...other than the fact that you can somehow tie a rope to a tree 40 feet above you! It's handy that the materials to create a battery and fix a boat are just lying around too!

I found that the directional arrows were sometimes slow to appear and thus missed something the first time around.

To add to the walkthrough:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Eggshell is green glass, add the water and you are creating a magnifier which is focussing the sunlight, it creates a concentrated beam of light to start fire with. (Didn't you ever use a magnifying glass to burn things on a sunny day? bugs, grass, bits of wood)

Cotton must be wet in salt water to be a conductor.

The sail is made from your Parachute, not a rock!

I don't think you escape if you just call the helicopter without the payment, I think you get left there.
