Late For Work
In Late For Work you must escape the room as you are... wait for it... wait for it... Late For Work... ahhhhh... How does this work though? Hmmm... *thinks*... you ring your boss:

WorkShyGamer: Sorry, I can't come into work today as I'm stuck in my house which has inexplicably turned into a point'n'click adventure overnight.
Boss: Er.. ok... have you tried pressing [TAB]?
WorkShyGamer: Well I don't normally cheat, or anything like that, as my gaming skillz are so 1337, but I thought you would ask so I checked just in case and no it doesn't work on this one.
Boss: Well, try the waste paper basket then, there's always a clue there.
WorkShyGamer: Nope. Not in this game. I did that and all I saw was lots of Japanese text I didn't understand.
Boss: Dammit. I suppose you'll have to wait until someone posts a walkthru at lazylaces.com then...

1. Don't be ignorant. No one cares about the way you did it, since you have no definite proof that it was a true exit.
2. It says RIGHT ABOVE THE COMMENT BOX how to do spoilers. It's not that hard.
3. Learn how to type. It is also not that hard.

Hmm somehow I'm getting the idea that "Honey", "Delirious" and "Some1 somwre" are the same person... How silly of me to be thinking that!

And the game... Far too much Japanese writing for me. I've given up for now, but will most likely be back.

ROFL at the witty description again Graeme!!!

:
yes, love the description! it's almost better than the game.
this is like the annoying one where you have to ut the pencil in the apple. If anyone gets bored with this try the game where you have to find the raymond osborne dvds. That game was swell. or poco2 escape.

I think if you use the blue key right away it is just one of the endings. Because when you use the blue key at the end of it. It says end1 so I think there are more then one ending to the game the blue key is just the easy way to say that we won without actually really doing anything going to try to find the code for the computer. Because there are still things to do like the code for the computer and what things to give to the hand sticking through the door.

OK, it's been jarring me that I can't figure out '1337', please help...
Also, I think a note needs to go up about typing using text talk (like they have on JiG), it's irritating to read and the reason I don't bother with gamershood anymore.
Off to see if this game is any good..

Comment 16, Wednesday, July 25th 2007 05:17:02 PM

Bette

:
The game sucks but its posting has been redeemed by the highly entertaining dialogue between Honey, Delirious and Some1 somwre.
What a brilliant way of supporting an erroneous viewpoint.. I must try that

Well... I've restarted this game 10 times or so, and no matter what you click on, the blue key just disappears. So I can't figure out what it truly works on. I don't know the computer code... I don't know Japanese either, and I've read all the notes. But so far I've got:
umbrella, green box thing, apple, and light bulb. I've also found:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

A small black box, that when you turn it over looks like a camera?
Another key.
Also the umbrella opens and closes.

Spanky McPipebomb

:
I think the blue key is only there to tempt you to open the door in front of you and get the 'cheap' ending. Like you though, I'm getting very frustrated at not seeing any logic to this thing or being able to decipher any of the notes which I'm sure enlighten us on how to proceed.

Also, where did you find this black box you speak of?

Hey, Stella and Chrissy - they're Ramon Osborne DVDs, and the game is called Nicholas' Weird Adventure 2. I just played it last night, it's a fairly good game.

Still stuck, haven't found anything else. I have -

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
1. What appears to be a green wallet, that I can't open
2. A black box with something on the bottom of it, also stuck shut
3. A short green pencil
4. A really lumpy apple
5. A lightbulb with text next to it that I can't read

Love the "boss" conversation on intro page.

Cant really find anything to do with anything that i have found. I guess i will have to wait, like the conversation said, till a walkthrough is posted on lazylaces.

ok... don't know if it helps but the black box-thingy is described to be a famicon-button. And one of the notes says that it's hars to play Super
ario without it. Weird though, that there is a PSP and not a Nintendo...
