Way To Morrow
You play a detective in Way To Morrow, a French point'n'click game (note: you need to click'n'drag to turn around), where you are brought into a creepy building to investigate what has occurred there. The graphics and sound build up rather an atmospheric air to the game, which is really quite immersive, even if I had to guess the French here and there to decide what was going on. To start the game, go to the top right-hand corner of screen, click on "Commencor", enter your name at the prompt, and then you're off adventuring [subbed by U25150 & winniethepooh].

Does this game work only on an Opera browser? Because the Flash download site points to an Opera version of Adobe Flash.

@ Corona: Nope, I've played in FF as well as IE, and you need to donload Flash 9 for it, after which you have to resart your browser.

TIP FOR GAMERS: Use the option box to bring the clarity of your screen up, and if your connection allows it, go for the highest quality of the graphics as well. Things are a lot better to find, that way.
And don't be too impressed by the Inventory box, as it will not be even half full at the end....

Save a lot, too, as the game tends to black out every now and then.

Ok, beyond a couple of pages in french, 2 floor plans, and a key, I'm nausiated from spinning around in circles and getting nowhere (bleah)

I'm on the third (?) floor, and I can't figure out what to do next. I need some sort of 4-number code to get to the next room, but I don't know what it is. Is the code somewhere in the room with all the bodies? Awesome game, by the way.

I can't get past the first 2 floors in the start of the game, it won't let me up to the third floor?

AARRGGG! Game definatly "blacks out", no picture, but the controls are all there, just can't see or move. I can't read french so I have no clue where save is if it's an option. I have to start over so I'll do this again tomorrow. Good night to whoever is still here and good luck with it!

To save, go to options, then sauvegarder la partie.

I'm loving this it's so atmospheric.

I'm really glad I speak French though, to get the most from it. Do you think there's any chance they'll translate it? It would reach a much wider audience then.

Oh, and it is SO demanding of my poor little pc. I'm saving after nearly every screen for when it crashes. But I still like it!

Gag: movement is by moving your cursor till you get an arrow, then click. (Looking around is click and drag anywhere else in the screen. To pick up, or examine, your cursor becomes a hand icon.)

Fairyhedgehog - thanks, I got the arrow idea, but no clicking (double clicking, triple clicking) helped, tried both Firefox and IE but no luck. All I can do is swirl..., got the map though, so I can see myself going round and round on the same spot :-(

This game is great but it takes a lot of memory, if it blacks out, save the game (sauvegarder la partie) then clear your browser cache, and load the game again (charger = load).
For those who have problems to start the game, make sure you can reach the top right hand corner of the first page ' which didn't fit completely in my browser window, so I had to scroll).
When the game is started, press the F key and you'll be in a full screen mode that will display the whole game in the window without needing to be scrolled.

And about the last code, in the cave, your translators might not catch an very interesting tip:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
look closely at the 4 maps, they are the key to the final door, in the cave

If you have any question, I think i can answer. Frenchmen can help sometimes ^^

Oh and it looks like they won't translate it, it is a end of year student project that is achieved, according to their website, they're on holidays now and will not make a sequel.

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
there is no key on first floor (if you mean ground floor), and on the second floor, the key is easy to find, somewhere on the ground.
To access the second floor, you need to complete the first (ground) floor exploration first, which mostly consists in seeing the cutscene and getting the floor map.

Very nice game! Different! Only I can't find the map for the cave! I wonder if it sounds silly, after arriving to the poin of the door with the digicode rather easily... Any idea?

Qw and Zephemera:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
if it s the code of the third floor door the first code you meet), you need to open a door that recognises an eye, you ll get a message, behind that door, giving you the first three numbers, just guess the last one. If it is the door of the cave (the second code you meet in cave) look at the 4 maps you have collected and you will find the digits, just find the good order to input them

Olia:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
the cave map is hidden behind some sort of pipe, directly on the right of the elevator exit, if I remember well

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
"door that recognizes an eye" to save me. I've been around the third floor a dozen times, even went back to first and second. Must be missing something. Been to door at the end of the hall that appears to have a keypad, but it lets me in (because I have the eye?). That would be the messy room that has boards all over the floor--they don't seem to form any numbers, either. Someone mentioned a room with bodies? I've only found body parts--I think that's where I found the eye. Do I need to discover literal carnage?

Help! Hoping for the power of the post, but kinda doubt it.

Had the right room, but I didn't look around the pipes. That's where I found the paper with the first 3 digits of the code. Trial and error for the last digit.

I can read the French to a certain extent (never thought I'd use my Portuguese for that but oh well). However, I can't make heads or tails of the spoken stuff, could be my PC speaker, but it's coming out garbled beyond deciphering. General storyline/translation would be much appreciated.
