Viridian Room (AKA Crimson Room 2)
I'm too darn busy to post anything, but I had to make an exception here. Take your phone off the hook and put your life on hold, the sequel to Crimson Room is here in the form of the Viridian Room. I'm only just working my way through it now, but feel free to start up a help forum in the comments to this thread as before. My one top tip so far is to peak through the keyhole to see part 1. *joy*

Update: The site doesn't seem to be up the whole time, it must be getting a lot of hits, if you can't reach the game first time around try again later.

In no particular order:

- Brendo, for the key check where the slippers are but a little bit lower.

- Chrissy, it sounds like you are missing the one on the lightshade on the ceiling.

"the last piece of paper is (if you haven't found this one) on the lamp hanging from the ceiling. You can only get to it when you are seeing the lamp on the uppermost right corner of the screen, then click the lamp and you will see it. The paper is white, but appears red."

How do you make the damned box!! I have both 'maps' needed........so I know which symbols = which #. I have all 6 bits of paper and the green cross form.....but for the life of me I cannot figure out the order.......can get nothing to happen. Driving me batty it is!!!!

Chrissy: The bike code is the date the bike gets stolen in the diary, so it'll be 04xx - I think the actual date might be different each time you play.

Incog Neato: Good to see you here again. I got a bit confused with making the box too. Do you actually have the thing that looks like an unfolded box, rather than just the paper image you made by burning the hair (this confused me for ages)? If you don't then try searching the blanket. If you do match up the paper symbols to the paper in the pill box (draw it out if you have to - I did). Then use the image you made by burning the hair to work out which order the symbols go in. Finally place the symbols on the folded out box you retrieved from the blanket.

Laura: The key is somewhere on the skeleton (sorry I typed this up wrong before - it's the picture frame that is near the slippers).

The green crossy thing is hidden in the blanket on the skeleton, but you can't get the blanket until you've got the key.

You only need to put certain items, in a certain state, on the shelf. I won't spoil it by telling you more.

If you still can't find the key post again and I'll be more specific.

I have now played all the way up to the 'green cross' 3 times.......I have both the 'hair' map and the symbols grid from the pill box........I KNOW I am alligning the #'s and symbols correctly.......yet......nothing happens. I am beginning to wonder if it my computer? Really driving me batty because I know that I have done EVERYTHING....this may be the end of me! Does anyone have a cold beer and a bike lock I can borrow? ;)

Alrighty, I feel a wee bit foolish. It was my own poor artistic talent that was causing my problem. All is well. Game is solved. You can keep your bike lock.......=)
