You know the drill now. On-line adventure game. Point'n'click a lot, collect the objects, escape the room...need I go on? Seriously though this looks like a good one if you can handle any more of this type of game [big linky thanks to nexus].

Have you noticed that by changing the number on the end of the URL on the end screen you can give yourself different scores to see the different endings?

:
Re long thin object: You'll need the hook first (knock the picture off the wall) then try the video tape (make sure you've watched it first).

Taylor : Insert the key in the safe. Enter the code by pressing the numbers (you'll see the green lights come on). Turn the key once all the numbers are in.

Tip to get the happy ending:
1) Click under 50 times
2) Do not get the rope -- you don't need it after you go up the trap door.

Cheers,
mj

Here is a complete walkthrough:
First, some notes. To use items, you just click it and click something else you want it to interact with. If nothing happens, the items either can't interact or don't interact yet. Some items cannot interact until you have completed certain objectives.
1) Click the poster to look at it, then click it again to pick it up. Look at it in your inventory, it will have a number corresponding to U (it's upside down). Remeber it, or write it down.
2) Click the small window in the door to see the tied-up girl inside.
3.) Look down, you'll see an ash tray on the table and a trach can. Click the ash tray to pick it up (*note: you must have looked through the window in order to be able to pick it up). CLick the trash canand you'll get the memorandum. Check it in your inventory to see that it has stains on it.
4.) When you look up, use the ash tray on the window. Look in the window again, then look left. Look down, and you'll see the orange juice. Click it, then click the memorandum. You'll note that it has orange juice stains. Click the lighter, and it'll automatically burn the memorandum. Check it, and it'll give you a number corresponding to B. Remember it.
5.) Look straight and then go left 3 times until you see the lockers. Click the boxes on top to see a magazine and a book mark with a letter corresponding to 7. Remember it.
6.) Look left twice, click the picture. Click it again, and it will fall. Look down and click the picture. You'll pick up a hook and nail, then click the picture again for a number corresponding to N. Remember it.
7.) Look left 3 times until you see the door with the window again. (*note: I omitted the watching video step; it's not necessary). Use the hook on the window and it'll say you need something long and thin. Look left once and then look down. Use the hook on the video tape. You'll make a fishing hook.
8.) Look straight and go left once. Use the fishing hook on the window and you'll get the key.
9.) Look left 5 times and use the key on the left locker. You'll get a small key and a pager. Look at the pager to get a number corresponding to O. Remember it.
10.) Look right 3 times and use the key on the safe. It'll ask you to enter a PIN number. Enter the numbers you have collected so it spells out BUNCO. After you enter the PIN, click the key to turn it, and you'll get a key and a some lingerie.
11.) Look left twice and open the locker. You'll get pruning scissors.
12.) Look right 3 times and use the shears on the window. The girl will come out, and she'll say gas is coming out of the AC vent.
13.) Look to the left once and look down. Use the hankerchief on the orange juice, then use the lingerie on the orange juice, too. You now both have masks so the gas won't make you fall asleep.
14.) Look left once and look up. Click the trap door, and you'll say you need a step to reach it.
15.) Look straight, look left once, click the locker and it will move. Then look down and click the table and it will move as well.
16.) Look up at the trap door again and click it twice. It will ask if you want to escape, just click Escape.

And now you are done. Given the amount of clicks I mentioned in the above walkthrough, you should finish under 50 (roughly 46 clicks) and get the happy ending.

I've just gotten the "Happy End" with 45 clicks. I -think- that's the fewest possible, but I'm not positive. I used 88 clicks if you count the directional buttons (I didn't realize the game didn't, at first, so I kept track). I think that's the fewest needed to get around the room as efficiently as possible. I've got a whole walkthrough written out and I'm itching to share. Anyone need help/spoilers?

Comment 127, Thursday, March 18th 2004 02:10:00 PM

Mellie: There's a complete walk-thru a few posts up but if you want to do it click by click go for it.

Comment 128, Friday, April 2nd 2004 10:28:00 PM

Matt

:
Sadly, despite all the hints and info, and even the COMPLETE WALKTHROUGH given on this page, I am STILL stuck in this room. I'll forget about ever seeing any of the 4 endings, and make one up for myself. I slowly starve to death, sipping old sour orange juice in the hopes I do not dehydrate. In the end, however, I wind up as merely a sack of rotting skin and bones on the floor.

Adjust the number on the end of the URL for the end screen - you can then see all the endings without replaying the game.

where do you find the safe pin???!!!

Comment 149, Wednesday, April 21st 2004 12:26:00 AM

Graeme

:
The safe code is different everytime you play. Each number of the code corresponds to a different letter. You can find these on various objects in the room. The letters spell 'bunco' - the word in the video - put the numbers in this order and you get the code.
