Golem
The lazylaces lawyers have asked me not to point out any similarities between the word "Golem" and the word "Gollum" and to make no other LOTR references, as one does not simply infringe copyright [subbed by Dov & Rookwings].

FOOTNOTES: Golem is a cracking game that really does have nothing to do with LOTR.

Why would Golem - a clay beast of the Czech-Jewish folklore have anything to do with the Lord of the Rings?

A word of advice: DON'T start this if you're even the least bit tired and have little time...

Thanks. . . . . . and out. Good ending. Don't feel like going for the bad ending. I have a feeling it's bad.

Beautiful graphics and ideas but far too hard for me. Even using the walkthrough I wasn't sure how you were supposed to have come up with some of the answers, or know that something you'd done had had an effect somewhere else in the game. (I often have to play without sound, so visual clues that I've succeeded are important.)

Haha, Graeme's intro to the game says:

"The lazylaces lawyers have asked me not to point out (...)"

Well, the irony... One of my other favourite escape-games website has been threatened by CoolBuddy (the game's creator) because the guy who runs that website put a walkthrough video on youtube - and it almost ended with the guy's youtube account suspended, although he removed the walkthrough. What makes it very strange is that there are walkthroughs on youtube of other CoolBuddy games and they seem to have no problem with those...

yes, the answers are all in front of you, but there's no real way to determine which clues should be used where! One or two are obvious, but mostly not.

I did both Good and then Evil... were there any others? I was pretty much done with it by the time I'd gone back and re-run the puzzles necessary to get to Evil.

Not a bad game. It was actually all there to figure out though it was quite abstract and vague at times. But both the endings I bothered with were very-anti-climactic...

As for "Golem" and (etc, btw), _most_ of what JRRT put together (lets say "re-imagined") was taken from pre-existing folklore. It would be quite a laugh (though, I'm sure not a surprise) to have his estate or those who "own" his IP start suing left and right. Elves? We own the elves AND the gnomes! ...And the humans too!
