Chikarou 4
As it's a leap year, and more particularly it's February 29th, today's Chikarou, in tribute, is a multiple of 4: Chikarou 4 [subbed by Mr. Bailey & Dov].

Love these, but this one was way too easy...

Haha, I just collected my first object - the sheet of paper with three rows of letters, and only had to look at it for a couple of seconds to decipher it without any kind of hint or help - seems I'm getting the hang of the Chikarou-logic :D

OK, I guess this is the point where Chikarou is getting to the point of being ridiculously short... I knew the earlier installments were shorter and sheorter, so I timed my attempt: 2 minutes 51 seconds (not including the time I spent tayping my previous comment in).

The game itself is still good, but the puzzles were way too easy, bringing no sense of accomplishment at all, and the whole installment is unreasonably short.

I would highly advise the developer of the game to stitch together a couple of installments and release them as one level, because there's no immersion in 3 minutes. The game has barely started, and it's over... It's like having 1 M&M - still good, but so little that the feeling won't last much longer than eating it...

It would be a loss to see these games getting to easy to even bother, because I still like them a lot. I§'m gonna vote this in the middle, because it's not a bad game, but because of its shortness and easiness it's not one I "love" either...

PS: Typing this comment in took about twice as much as beating the game :(

Enjoyable but too short - like my comment

I kind of like the shortness (if that can be used correctly) of this game. It was simple, yet all the puzzles were logical. It was something I could play in between all the other crap I have to do in a day.

I'm stuck on the color one...

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

Got the 3 digit one right off, without even using the bookcase... proud of myself there. A credible puzzle.

Got the star one pretty easily, but still a credible puzzle.

Got what I can see is the idea on the color one, but can't figure out exactly what to do (press).

Meditate, maybe medicate, and come back... And hope there is more above if those stairs lead anywhere but out :)

Definitely one of the easier ones, agree with Bio.. but they get released so often I can't really complain.

Lol I did the color one in about ten seconds. Stars took me some figuring.

I still can't figure out what to do with the colors! I mean I see this and that. And how this seems to relate to that. And even the particular pattern that that conveys to this... but i'll be damned if I come to realize which of those I'm meant to do that to... and how the middlemost could ever come into it (which I guess is what I need to think about).

Off to meditate again.

Ha!

Got it. ~XD~

Really was fun being so stumped while everyone else apparently saw it so quickly. I just had the wrong idea and couldn't break free of the tunnel vision that set in...

Nothing up the stairs, sadly. But ,while I agree that these games are obviously presenting us with fewer and fewer puzzles each time, they remain quality puzzles. That is the most important thing. Of course I'd like to see more puzzles but not if that means even the slightest decline in the excellent quality. And, likewise, I'd prefer to play a series of 6 these shorter games once a week for 6 weeks rather than 1 long game that takes 6 weeks to wait for... this is semi-casual gaming, AFAIC, so I'm okay with that.

I think after climbing the stairs, we're actually in Chikarou room 5; we just don't realize it yet. ;)

I didn't even need the bookcase xD.
These installments *are* getting shorter and this one wasn't even that hard - or maybe we are just getting better in understanding the creators mind. The star puzzle stumped me for a little bit because I thought the bookcase had something to do with it. I just wish we are leaving the concrete rooms behind for a bit - his/hers earlier games looked a lot more creative and were easier on the eyes. On the other hand, this way clues are easily spotted and the focus is/lies solely on/in the puzzles (foreigner/not-English).
