Ah... finally came back to it after messing up and closing the tab, then thinking I'd just not bother... but came back and redid the stuff I'd done before -- relaxed-ly, in a zen mode and mood. And got

the bio book, and took another serene look, and I saw the light.

and I'm glad I did. That last puzzle was somewhat unique, and rhymed without reason, or vice-versa, so, therefore, rewarding to solve.

I quite liked it. A little (lot?) random, but mind-bending and pleasant too...
