Note, there's a lot of Japanese text in the game, but only one part is an issue for completing the game: The clue for the slot machine-esque tumbler.

However it's pretty simple to brute force this anyway so you don't "need" to be able to understand the clue, but you do need to have read it (you clean a piece of paper) so don't try to brute force it before this.
