I just cannot like a game where navigation is messy. And when, from a given screen, you go right and then immediately back left - and you end up on another screen... well, that's lousy navigation IMHO...

Also, I never liked games where I cannot read the on-screen texts. It's OK that the game is often solvable without understandng these, but whenever I get stuck in such a game I keep thinking I'm getting stuck because I'd need a hint from those foreign - usually Japanese - on-screen texts...
