It might only be Wednesday, and a few days until the Vampire Weekend, but don't let that stop you trying to discover the Vampire House Secret. Here's a subtle clue just in case you miss it in plain sight; there's a coffin in a living room that contains a skeleton with a wooden stake in it....[subbed by Sarah].

:BUGS !!!!!
WickedWitchoftheWest
:Indeed, nasty pop-ups and stuff.
F00
:Try using something other than Internet Explorer to play. I'm playing in Chrome and had no idea there even were popups and had to load it in Internet Explorer to see what you meant. Firefox also blocked the popups when I tried that.

:@ FOO, nope, too scary, not my machine, thanks anyway!
Lizzzzard
:Too scary for the WickedWitchoftheWest?! 8)
F00
:Using Internet Explorer is the scary thing if u ask me, wicked witch or otherwise. For anyone else playing id recommend using chrome.
WickedWitchoftheWest
:I am a meek and mild little thing!
Sarah
:I use I.E. and got pop ups and a virus warning too
Jas.B
:Firefox seems fine
Jas.B
:...just updating AVG antivirus to be sure
F00
:At my guess any virus warning you saw was almost certainly caused by a tracking cookie from the popups. the simple answer here is to use something other than IE.
Jas.B
:as for the game...these are getting a bit "samey" if you get my drift. i.e. if you have done one, then these other games become pretty straightforward. imho.
(Not saying I could do better, 'cos I couldn't if I tried)

:As always I'd encourage everyone to have Anti Virus software installed and fully up to date when they are playing games online (or indeed doing anything online). AVG and Avast both supply excellent options that are free. And using a browser like Chrome or Firefox is a superb idea too as you are much less open to exploits as they primarily target Internet Explorer.
Testing this game in Internet Explorer 9 I get annoying popups, but nothing worse than that. In Chrome and Firefox I don't even get the pop-ups.
I'd never knowingly post a game that had an issue, but this is the wild and wacky internet so you never can be 100% certain, I think here though there really is no problem. Play in something other than IE is my recommendation & ensure your anti Virus software us up to date. That should cover you even if there is a problem. If you are really concerned you might also want to look at firewall software (like zonealarm) and I also use malwarebytes to regularly scan my system for malware.
Cheers

:Okay, that being said... how do you scare the bat? :-D
Susan
:Really? All this about which browser to use? IE is a pain.
to the subject at hand; not a bad game, fairly straight forward.

Mimi
:Susan, thanks!!!!! I don't have all the objects yet, but now I know what to look for...

stake?? I got the one from the skeleton, that was easy. Can't find the other one though.

:Using Firefox with the 'No Script' add-on works great for protecting your computer.
There's a bit of a learning curve with 'No Script' but once you get the hang of it you hopefully shouldn't
have any more problems and if you find it's too much to handle you can disable or delete the add-on
altogether.
Mimi
:Found it now, I overlooked the black/white puzzle...
hint for that is
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
in the big bookstand.

:Have you seen this video of thousands of Chinese enjoy a good rock concert in a European band? It is certainly not what Tibet, and Al Jazeera is not going to broadcast ... I do not think is as important as the issue of Libya and Gaddafi, but it's fun to see how China can not censor a good concert style with Muse, Suede, etc ...

:This is the opposite to pixel hunting, which should be a good thing, but when you click in the corner of the room and end up zooming in on the fire-place a couple of meters away, it has gone too far, in my opinion. Other than that, nice game with good graphics and interaction.
Tonepoet
:Hmmmmmm.......the ending is rather anti-climatic. Was hoping for a fireworks display or something.
Wendy
:Havent solved this one yet, but thanks to everyone for the browser tips, running much better now on firefox
Gruntwilligar
:Yeah, I have to agree with Limbo, the hotspots need some fine-tuning. Bigger is better to a degree, I hate pixel hunting in general, but you shouldn't get zoomed in on something by clicking something completely different.
