Escape From The Burning Rome
Escape From The Burning Rome contains tricky puzzles, and looks rather nice, but instead of playing I can't help but obsess over what the "the" is doing in the title... [subbed by f00].

This game isn't working for me, and I updated my java last night. It just sits there at a blank white screen. At one point it did load, but it took forever for the play game to light up red. I quit after waiting 15 minutes.

I checked this game out and saw similar comments on other sites about the unresponsiveness of the game. Just a heads up for those wanting to play. Its not my internet connection either.

Use the sword on the panel in the door through which you can gaze at the flames. Gives you a crank, use that one the hexagonal shape next to the painting. Stuck again :)

RE the "the" in the title, I assumed it was a pun using Rome instead of Room?

@Browneyedgirl: that actually makes sense, lets go with that :)
