Fill the jar (that's 3 liters) with water and dump it into the jerry can -- that's 3 liters in the can. Fill the jar again and dump it in the Jerry can. That's 5 liters in the can and one left in the jar. Put the jar on the pedestal.

Walkthrough:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

1. Get a closeup of the table.
2. Take the vase. Examine the vase and take out the stems.
3. Still in closeup on the table, click down underneath it to find the pole.
4. Click to get close to the refrigerator.
5. Use the pole on the loose tile on the wall to the left of the fridge.
6. Take a look at the paper on the bulletin board to the right of the fridge.
7. Turn around. Go to one of the levers next to the door (I went to the left, don't know if it works on the right). Use the tile on the lever.
8. Go to the other lever and press it. The door opens.
9. Turn around and take the jerry can.
10. Take a closeup look at the pipe on the left. There's something up high, but the pole is too short. Take note of the pipe sizes.
11. Turn back to the empty fountain. Go to the device on the right and set the buttons in the order of the pipe sizes (1. no click, 2 click once, 3 no click, 4 click twice, 5. no click. That turns on the fountain.
12. There's something floating. Take it and examine it. Take the clay off.
13. Use the pole on the water. Then examine the pole and put the clay on the end.
14. Go back to the fridge and put the pole in the freezer.
15. Open the freezer, examine the pole. Click it couple of times, the ice extends making the pole longer.
16. Back in the fountain room, get back to the pipes and use the pole on the key.
17. Take the key and open the locked fridge. There's a mold in there.
18. Examine the mold and put the clay in it. Take it to the fountain and fill it with water. Put it in the freezer. When you take it out, click the ice ring.
19. Back in the fountain room, put the ice ring on the circle with the button in the middle. That floods the right hand side room.
20. On the pedestal is a notation "1 liter."
21. Fill the jar (that's 3 liters) with water and dump it into the jerry can -- that's 3 liters in the can. Fill the jar again and dump it in the Jerry can. That's 5 liters in the can and one left in the jar. Put the jar on the pedestal. Take the 1/2 of the blue card.
22. Examine the mold again and take the clay out. Fill the mold with water and freeze it again. This gives you the other button for the device at the right of the fountain. That floods the left hand room.
23. The notation here is "2 liters." Dump any remaining water out of the jar and jerry can.
24. Fill the jerry can (5 liters). Use the jerry can to fill the jar (3 in the jar 2 in the jerry can). Empty the jar. Pour the two liters from the jerry can into the jar.
25. Put the jar on the pedestal and take the second 1/2 of the blue card.
26. Combine the halves of the card and use it in the device at the right of the fountain.
27. The room fills with water. Click around the ceiling til you find the ladder.

Voila!
