I have hint cards 1-3-4, compass, and (empty) fake book. I've found and placed the fish, mushroom, and rice symbols. I've solved the mysteries of the drawers, egg, and bookcase, and I think I know what the hints describe, but the "trough" of dirt, the bears, and the corner with the high shelf and white circle are still mysteries to me. Any advice?

I've got all the discs in place according to the pictures, but nothing happens when I click okay. I've done everything else possible in the room, I think. Everything's been unlocked or decoded. =\ Missing the 5th hint card, and the compass is of no use.

Had a glitch with the compass which stumped me for a while - related to Catherine-Grace's problem.

Compass has a glitch - if you start north (the bookshelf) and turn left, the compass turns right. This mucks up your East and West when you're putting the discs in place. So switch them around and hopefully when you click the button, you'll unlock "it". (You'll see it immediately.)

:deschain, if you are facing north and turn anticlockwise, north doesn't move, you do
that's why the compass appears to rotate clockwise - it's still pointing north
it's not a glitch!

:It looks like it could be down for maintenance, based on what it says on the website bar area. I'm sure there's a technical term for that, but I have no idea what it is.

I was putting the discs in related to the pictures on the wall. I wasn't using the compass to know which one is north.

Mimi, the items that can be used have a blue-green background on your screen. Click the blue part (top) to view, click the green part (bottom) to use.

my hints only seemed to be in Japanese.
Did you translate them yourself, or is there some way in the game that you can get them to change to English?
I find the answer on another site (but not the hints in English), and now I can see where the answer comes from.
