I got mine when I had the fire extinguisher in place by the door in its holder. A red sign came out of the wall with a green key stuck to the wall underneath it.

Angie-la: Not necessarily... we realized earlier that stuff is in different places for different games. I opened the same game in a different window and all of the items were all moved around.

entered the number from the math equation on the door and clicked the buttons on the box in the drawer (I didn't even have all of the numbers for the date), I was able to open the door but it just went to a white screen. ???

i just selected the sign and clicked the base a bit, and a pole magically appeared. you have to make sure the little metal base pieces are at the right setting, which can be achieved by merely clicking on them. HTH!
