Ignore the hidden panel. It is a red hering. The key is at the bottom of the door on the door threshold. Hard to see.

To get the key, you need to play the bird's song on the piano. The notes for the song are D G C F E G A - on the piano itself (reading from left to right), the keys are pressed in this order: second from left, fifth from left, 1st key on left, fourth from left, third from left, fifth from left and sixth from left. Hope this helps!
