Bad: leave through the door where the prinsess is WITH the present in your inventory.

So, after I got the worm, I gave it to the bird, who then picked the flower off of the mountain. Bird's back in the inventory, and the flower's just gone. What was the point in that one?
And the snowman's arm is a net, but I can't find a use for it yet.

click the bird in your inventory and then click the "?" on the bar. It will show a close up of the bird with the flower in it's beak. Click the flower and it will appear in your inventory.

:okay here's what I've done so far- kind of sort of a walkthrough, but not really because I haven't beaten this yet....

taken worm off of sun's fishing rod.
Given worm to bird. Clicked bird, bird goes into your inventory. Go to the screen with the hills and the random flower, click the bird and then the flower. Then examine the bird and take the flower. Go back to the screen where the bird's nest is and put the flower in the green circle between the other two flowers. Use the net to capture the butterfly...

click butterfly and put it on the left flower, the one furthest to the left, then click the butterfly, it'll go onto the tree. Get the stick, then go put the stick in the left side of the snowman. An eel will appear, and you click him to scare the bear.
Then click the bear. He'll knock the snowman over and a leaf will float to the ground. Click it, then go left and give it to the little raccoon thing and he becomes a surfer. Click him, then put him in the water. Click the end of the water and a rainbow appears. Click the cloud it goes to, and the rainbow goes to the other cloud, so you can click the key. Go to the castle, don't click the present, click key, then the door, and you're done!
