JPRS24 Escape
JPRS24 Escape is an escape the room game with some fine graphics (I believe the team behind it are connected to gotmail, and point'n'click aficionados will spot the similarities straight away) that initially seems hard to understand (it's in Japanese). But once you get passed the intro screens, which I found totally incomprehensible (the skip button is your friend), things get more familiar and playable [subbed by Mystery & Mantari].

hmmm.... this one actually has a story of sorts. from what I can understand it's sort of a educational game to teach you about the Japan communications infrastructure like GPRS (they have JPRS???)

In the beginning the main chara tries to send a message (email?) by phone to his wife (should be) and failed to do so. Then everybody found that they can't do the same thing, and there was chaos. The tech manager (I think?) told him it was something about the DNS that went wrong, and the JPRS company (should be) was responsible. The guy then went downstairs and found the JPRS building missing (which is why the email can't work) and found the slab of stone on the ground.

Still trying to find more items. I hate pixel hunting.

I have a feeling that this is actually commisioned to the Gotmail team by that company ^^ Much easier than the other games.

Wow - I was thinking this would be more of the traditional Gotmail difficult p'n'c, but it wasn't. Too easy, and so disappointingly short.

Nice graphics, obviously done for commercial reasons. Helps pay the rent! Not bad for what it is, but way too easy for this crowd.

The intro and the end took way longer than playing the game. I am sooo disappointed. :(

Don't ya just hate it when those blackholes come along and suck buildings into another dimension. I hate when that happens!

Actually, I liked the story I was making up in my head better....The building had been struck by other-worldy lightning, and the people had all been turned to glass, like shadows of Hiroshima......

Walkthrough, cause I can lol

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Turn Right get red key hidden (that is laying) on desk.
Open glass display on top of cabinet and get piece #1
Desk just right of cabinet, push chair out of the way and get the spray and piece #2 from behind the monitor (spray it a couple of times)
Drawer in center desk, get alan wrench
Use it to pry the last piece from the model of the building.
Then put the pieces into the holder.
Only annoying thing is you have to do things in a specific order, whatever. Easy easy game!
