Destination Elsewhere
Are you a puzzle addict in need of your latest fix? Well Destination Elsewhere should keep your url changing, answer Googling, source code viewing urges at bay for a while. The initial levels (i.e. the ones I've played so far) are easy, but I assume things get harder as you go along [subbed by some1].

Same here. I've tried lots of things:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Linkin Park, Jay-Z, Collision Course, Grammy, Mash-up, and combinations of the above.
I can't find anything on Google that works and on the forum for the game, the only clue Ace gave was "think music ;-)" That doesn't help me!!

Never mind, I finally got it thanks to someone elses clue on this site. I don't like that clue, because I really like that song and album, but I've never heard "it"written like that.

Is anyone else here?

the answer to 67 is given in post 804...

does anyone have any ideas on 68?

Comment 814, Sunday, August 5th 2007 06:52:24 PM

Michelle

:
I don't see why you would need to be american, because the answer to this has already been posted on the forum, but I'll write it out more explicitly for you here.

For those who absolutely want the exact answer and not hints look here: (if you don't want this spoiled, don't look here)

So far on level 68 I've just gotten the obvious "not so basic" popup.

Comment 817, Sunday, August 5th 2007 06:57:03 PM

Me too. Thinking it may have something to do with type of keyboard?

Level 68

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
the artists are going "against" eachother...so try coming up with something representing that and put it in the URL
.

Comment 819, Sunday, August 5th 2007 07:02:26 PM

Michelle

:
No I just asked ace and he said it didn't matter. I think it may have something to do with currency. There are the symbols for pounds, dollars (or pesos), and euros.

Comment 820, Sunday, August 5th 2007 07:02:28 PM

Dazzlechild

:
nevermind, saw the post on the official boards...:(

That's just the way the UK keyboard looks...

sorry!! i meant the above hint for level 67

Comment 823, Sunday, August 5th 2007 07:04:00 PM

Michelle

:
Nvm, nothing to do with currency either.

Comment 824, Sunday, August 5th 2007 07:04:08 PM

i love reading the forum...it's like we're playing 20 questions with Ace...

Comment 825, Sunday, August 5th 2007 07:11:03 PM

Michelle

:
Haha, yeah. You should type in level69.htm and see what it says. How did he know I was going to do that :-/

Comment 826, Sunday, August 5th 2007 07:14:50 PM

Dazzlechild

:
hehhehheh, that's cute. did you see the post at the top of this page?

Comment 827, Sunday, August 5th 2007 07:15:24 PM

I had but I didn't try it until just now. I wish I knew what that stuff meant.

Comment 828, Sunday, August 5th 2007 07:19:04 PM

it's basic, i think. i'm looking up what they mean now...

Comment 829, Sunday, August 5th 2007 07:20:32 PM

How do you look up stuff in BASIC?

Comment 830, Sunday, August 5th 2007 07:26:48 PM

i was just looking up stuff about BASIC...

Comment 831, Sunday, August 5th 2007 07:28:05 PM

Yeah I tried google.com and wikipedia, but I couldn't find anything really.

Comment 833, Sunday, August 5th 2007 07:39:20 PM

:-/ I'm at a dead end too. I'm not really sure what to do now.

Comment 834, Sunday, August 5th 2007 07:42:49 PM

Michelle

Okay check the forum. I think we are on the right track with BASIC.

Comment 835, Sunday, August 5th 2007 07:50:14 PM

Zue2k

:
Ya but basic what? computer programming maybe?

Comment 836, Sunday, August 5th 2007 07:56:06 PM

Michelle

:
Yeah, thats what I'm thinking. Type in level68.bas instead of .htm and see what comes up. I think that is BASIC programming language and the phrase switch4 comes up a couple of times. But I can't for the life of me figure out what it means.

Comment 837, Sunday, August 5th 2007 07:57:48 PM

Jan

:
i dont think that has anything to do with it.. i had asked ACe about it before

Comment 838, Sunday, August 5th 2007 08:04:05 PM

When I asked, he said I was getting warmer.

Comment 839, Sunday, August 5th 2007 08:05:11 PM

Jan

:
i mean about the level68.bas instead of .htm...or maybe i misunderstood him

Comment 840, Sunday, August 5th 2007 08:06:19 PM

Dazzlechild

:
well, according to my friend, it's a program for an electric circuit - a machine that essentially blinks and buzzes. There are 4 inputs (switch1 - switch4), and 5 outputs (LED1 - LED4, buzz)...not that that helps...

Comment 841, Sunday, August 5th 2007 08:06:40 PM

Dazzlechild

:
Oooh, someone on the forum is on 70...maybe you could ask him for help, michelle?

Comment 842, Sunday, August 5th 2007 08:08:25 PM

Michelle

:
hmmm... well should we google circuits?

Comment 843, Sunday, August 5th 2007 08:09:07 PM

Okay, I sent him a PM.

Comment 844, Sunday, August 5th 2007 08:10:41 PM

Thanks. :) I don't want to sign up for yet another forum...

We got any further on lvl 68 yet, sorry not been speaking, but followed this forum all the way ;). Typing in .bas results in a page of, to me, fairly nonsensical stuff about LED. Looks like a control software, but I'm more logic/lateral, not the techy stuff. ;) Thoughts please

Comment 846, Sunday, August 5th 2007 08:12:32 PM

Dazzlechild

:
nope, we're about as far as you are, IBD. asking someone on the forum for help now...

Comment 847, Sunday, August 5th 2007 08:13:46 PM

IBD

:
Cool, been googling it a bit, (circuits that is) and a couple of them don't match, as it's NOT so Basic, perhaps we should focus on the anomalies?

Comment 848, Sunday, August 5th 2007 08:14:56 PM

Dazzlechild

:
Try it...what differences are there?

Comment 849, Sunday, August 5th 2007 08:15:32 PM

Michelle

:
Ace isn't online anymore. Fabulous.
