Second purple one on first row:

Hint:

HINT: (click box to highlight/fade)
distance in metres = (time in seconds) squared x acceleration in metres per second / 2, meaning that time = square root(distance x 2 / acceleration); acceleration due to gravity is 9.8 (approximately, but this makes the numbers come out easy)

Solution:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
10

Comment 8, Monday, June 25th 2007 11:20:26 AM

Paolo

:
Light orange dots (these are really very easy - give them a try before looking at the answers below):

Hint:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Type in the words formed by the capital letters.

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Come on, surely you don't need to be given the answers! OK, here they are:

rhino
elk
moose

The great Dane

:
The first one, remembering from Exam 1, that from 1-100 the 9 is used 20 times,

HINT: (click box to highlight/fade)
you multiply it by 10 to get to the thousand

HINT: (click box to highlight/fade)
You need to add the last 100 from 900-999

HINT: (click box to highlight/fade)
keep using that process

And if you just want to cheat

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
you won't get the answer here. ;)

Comment 10, Monday, June 25th 2007 11:23:20 AM

Paolo

Hint:

HINT: (click box to highlight/fade)

Hints for light blue dots, left to right:

Number 1:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

I haven't solved this one, but here's what I think.

The first letter is Q. The other letters are have been given without spaces between them, to disguise them. The second letter is almost certainly U, which is dot-dot-dash. This leaves dot-dash-dash-dot-dash-dot-dash-dot-dash.

The next letter has to be a vowel. The only vowels that fit the pattern are A (dot-dash) and E (dot).

Work out the remaining letters by considering what letters are possible:

. e
- t
.- a
-. n
.-. r
-.- k

-- m
--. g

Mind you, I tried these and didn't find a word that fits, so you're now on your own - good luck!

Number 2: not done

Number 3: Not completed, but

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
try breaking each block of five up into two or more letters; for example, five dots could be "he" (four dots, one dot) or "is" (two dots, three dots). You might need to combine symbols on other side of a space to make a letter - I don't know.

Comment 20, Monday, June 25th 2007 11:59:33 AM

top row number 10 you have to put it down by circles

next row number 7 is above the writing

next row number 7 its on the out side of the big box on left hand side

next row number 7 you have to write it over one of the words

hope that helps
