Lottery Escape
Lottery Escape is your regular escape the room point'n'click game, although reading through the comments on Newgrounds it sounds like the game title might be very apt, with some of tasks being more of a lottery than intended... Good luck [subbed by f00].

That game really sucked big time. And I'm usually pretty large. I really hated the use of the swastika as a random symbol. Why does he keep using this symbol? It's really offensive. I think it should be banned.

Should the swastika also be banned for Buddhists who use it regularly as a common symbol of good fortune. Yes the swastika has a large connotation with the Nazi party, but for 3000 years before the Nazi party was created the symbol was a powerful icon for cultures all over the world from china India even nativa american art has shown images of the swastika. I'm not ignoring wha tthe Nazis did after all my grandparents were in the midst of it and barely survived with the sole crime of being Jewish. Rather than allowing Hitler and the Nazi's to continually control our thoughts when we see this symbol in any context try instead to remember its alternate meanings. It has stood for everything from the sun, good fortune and life. Don't ban the symbol because even in the context of it being a Nazi flag it is important we remember it to teach our children to never allow that history to happen again.

Nice one Justme - I had no idea the swastika had other symbolic significance. My parents have just come back from Pompeii and one of the mosaics had a swastika in it - I thought then that it couldn't have always been solely associated with Nazi's! Thank you for enlightening me!

the vodka is a bit of a red herring there's nothing you need to do with it that keeps you from leaving the room

Sparky Romans were very much familiar with the symbol of swastika, for them it is was an Etruscan symbol from which the Roman culture derived. Romans considered it as the emblem of their Supreme God Jupiter. Romans freely used the both handed Swastikas in decorating the mosaic floors and walls of Pompeii. They widely used the pattern of Swastika on the temples, altars, household potteries & goods, brooches in their conquered territories in Europe and British isle and North Africa. Roman Altar found near the Great Roman Wall in Northumberland, England, has two Swastikas carved on either side of a crescent moon.
thought that would give you some insight to the mosaic your parents brought for you :)

Sparky glad I could help it's great to learn something a bit when the chance is there. Iagree with Justme in learning the history of symbols and such beyond what we see as the obvious meaning. :) Enjoy your mosaic I'm sure it's lovely

Hidden, Isn't it amazing how one symbol can be so widly used by cultures across the globe who had noway of contact with each other for centuries?

Graeme Where are you? Your lazylacers are growing impatient with no new fix of games posted. I sense a mutiny on board lol Seriously though I hope you're ok and back to slacking at work again :)

I reckon Graeme is either:

a) spending quality phone/email time with Jennifer (quite rightly)

b) grinning as he reads our desperate pleas for more games (quite wrongly), or

c) he's got a new hobby .... nooooooooo!!!

:
Looking around at various sites, I think the lack of updates is mainly due to the fact that there are no games to go into an update. There are several million 'change the URL' type games, but nothing remotely interesting or relevant to the kind of games that normally appear on Lazylaces.

Cut Graeme a little slack; no doubt he'll update when there's something worth playing. :)

ALRIGHT ALRIGHT!!! I KNOW WHERE GRAME IS!!!! CLICK HERE!!!!!!!! actually, I highly doubt he was kidnapped by cyber gremlins and is being kept hossage at that very website BUT anything is possible!

Comment 77, Wednesday, June 13th 2007 08:24:58 PM

Nick s the hamster

:
Now lets take it, for fact that is, that cyber gremlins existed and DID kidnap Grame... WHY for that matter would they kidnap HIM and not some other web genious? Well... maybe genious isn't the word for it but still; without him, WE WOULD BE TRAPPED IN THE ENDLESS VOID OF THE SAME POINT N CLICK GAMES!!!!!

WHICH WE ARE RIGHT NOW SO THAT PROVES MY STATEMENT!!! AAAAAGHHHHHH!!!!

So... I recommend sending virus's to every single website except lazylaces!!! MUWAAHAHAH1!1!one!!! That will show them!!!

Ah yes and this game was good beside it being really boring after playing it 3634 times.

BUT WE COULD ALWAYS look in the lazy vaults if we are extremly bored and cant find any point n click games out there. I found at least ten I haven't played!

Hope you're doing okay Graeme. It's been close to a week now. Last time you had an excuse and you contacted us sooner than this.

Does anyone who is a close friend of Graeme check up on his site, just in case? I saw Graeme posted or joined at Dark Roasted Blend about a week ago and that was around the time this last game up here was posted.

Hey............

.......is Graeme pulling a Super Sneaky Spy Guy of his own?

Comment 97, Thursday, June 14th 2007 02:36:47 AM

Ok so here's what we do,
We pool all our money (I have $3 hehe) and buy a plane then we fly the plane (who knows how to fly) using our point and clicking skills of course and land in Graemes parking lot then we all mob from the plane beat down the door and make him feel better with all of our happy smiling faces. I'll bring the soup who's got the tea and blankets for if he's sick
If he's not sick we tie him to his computer until he updates Lazylaces with new games.
Who's with me? :)
