Old Castle
Explore the Old Castle, find an artefact, and leave a dangerous vault, all with only your trusty point'n'click skills to guide you. Before all that though, there's the small matter of getting into the castle to attend to... oh, and waiting for the thing to load, which seemed to take ages, for reasons I couldn't work out [subbed by Escaper & winniethepooh].

Right I've been over to Nordinho website to read their comments about this game and although I've only got to page 7 I'm giving up because it's far too hard a game for the morning,

Good luck to everyone though and I hope you figure out how that spinning plaque thing works so you can gain entry to the castle.

HINT: (click box to highlight/fade)
there is a brick on the left side of the door, that displays numbers after you click it.

I can't see what those links above have to do with P'N'C games, or help at all.... Warning kids and teens, just ignore that site!!!

Anyway Kenny how did you solve the spinning sign??
I really can't see any logic in that..

Oh my god. Getting through the door, even with the rotating sign lit up by the torch, was hard, without help impossible to do. And it is that easy, when you once understood the explanation (that took me a while, as my English is maybe not the best...).
Some hints:
1.
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Count the levers from 1 to 4 with the leftmost one as Nr. 1. If you want to deal with a certain lever you have to have the corresponding number on the plate bevor you turn/leave the lever.

2.
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Whether a lever should be up or down: This tells you the rotating plate.

But what I didn't get was this, attention: big spoiler:
3.
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Forget the numbers on the plate!! All you need to look at is this strange number 1. It is NOT a number, it is meant to be an arrow!! Thus it tells you whether a lever is up or down.

Clicking randomly has revealed

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
that there is a stone to the left of the door that has a number of it and it goes from 1 to 5 each time you click on it.

Comment 21, Friday, May 25th 2007 09:58:03 AM

Tze

:
Sorry, make that 1-4.

kenny, still here?

Comment 23, Friday, May 25th 2007 10:01:02 AM

Kenny

:
its not my idea but i get it
there is an arrow in the plate near the door
it is sth about sums, nevermind it looks like this
1
5 * 2
4 3 5
9 2 9 (or sth like that)
step 1
put the brick to position one
spin the plate
an if this arrow is up - the firs lever (closest to you) goes up
if down - lever goes down
right or left - spin again
step 2, 3 4 - look at step 1

can't do the torch, stone keeps fallin off

Comment 25, Friday, May 25th 2007 10:04:30 AM

Akino

:
Sorry if confusing. The plates:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
On the left side of the door, there is a plate, that shows the numbers corrsponding to the levers.
On the right side: There is the rotating plate/sign with the arrow.

Things you need behind the door:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Most of all: lit torch: For this you need to find a knife, a stone, a rope and a kind of a shaft. Hint: Stones can cause damage to things.
