:dont worry about the spider, it makes no difference to getting out. nor does the heating element thingy but you can do something with that if you want.....

Click small crack in corner of wall to enlarge, get rock and key
Go right, use key to open cupboard, get brush and shovel
Go right, get glass and knife
Go right, get baseball bat from shelf - ignore the spider
Back to door, use shovel on crack to make big door
Go right then back to door, or left then back to door - a rock has appeared on the floor near the crack.
Use rocks to sharpen knife
Use knife to cut picture of food, get key
And leave…..
Other bits to do:
Use baseball bat on picture of the sun (as you do) to get tape
Tape up the broken wires under the shelf
Put glass of water on heater thingy to make steam - pick up the powder
Combine powder and brush
Use powder and brush under picture of sun to get a code
Go right, use key to open cupboard, get brush and shovel

:How do you pick up the powder? My glass just disappears after heating before I can even pick up what's in it and all I have left is a heating device "with power" :-) (but no "d"...)

:edit: another "Ninja reload" I guess, or just something with my PC: after reloading four the third time or so, I now have powder where it should be :-)

:Well that was going smoothly till i couldn't find that other rock and only by reading the walkthrough did i find the other one, thank you Camecha ^-^

:There must be different ways to do this as the walkthrough did not help on certain things, the difference being that you do not turn away from the door and go back to get other pebble, you have to find code first and then when you enter the code you get the other pebble so thats what threw me.

:The problem is, if you don't have the glitch that causes the little rock to re-appear beside the crack in the floor, and you read the walkthrough, you're inclined to believe that you don't need to complete all the steps in order to escape, and that will drive you batty until you do complete them, in which case you finally get out but feel annoyed. LOL
