Prepare to exercise your brain, The Locked Box is here, the latest in The First Door Series. And as well as what I have no doubt are mind twisting puzzles, this one incorporates some nice flash sights and sounds too - it really does look great and I can't wait to try out some of what effectively appear to be mini (almost point'n'click) games spread around the desktop that is the playing surface. Anyway before I head off to play I'll hand over to the mysterious First Door for their intro:
Things began again at midnight. Something different needs to be solved; something new needs to be opened. This time it is not a door, but a box. After the last quest, the path was severed; the trail destroyed and left dangling. Without a path to follow, the quest has changed, the quest has become about finding the next step. Discover the secret projects The First Door was working on and hope that he has left us a clue about what to do next. Go to his hiding place, he has left you a message. Will you listen once again?

:Is no one going to give some decent help for the number puzzle???? I'm guessing the numbers correspond to the numbers on a phone, and then translate to one of the corresponding letters. But not being of the texting generation (and a fair few here obviously are judging by the standard of the written english... or rather jibberish!!!) I haven't a clue what to convert them to.
Allegra~WickedFanOne
:i posted what i got from that earlier, pann....
just type the letters into a cryptogram solver...
Ninja
:Come on! Give me the answers to the blue hexagon!
Allegra~WickedFanOne
:what is the blockbuster everyone is talking about? and what equations on the sides?? i feel like i missed something....
Allegra~WickedFanOne
:mio, you're definately on the right track.
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
just look at a cell phone
and read the comments benito wrote to me earlier about this one.
Jumbo-The-Elephant
:ok, for the cards, do the rings hae anything to do with it?
Mio
:blockbuster is/was a tv programme some years ago in the UK. It made famous the phrase "Can I have a P please Bob". Maybe you can use that to solve the puzzle... but I doubt it.
Allegra~WickedFanOne
:no they don't, those are just for lining them up properly. it's all about the numbers.
Tomka
:Allegra, did I missed something? What cryptogram solver?
Allegra~WickedFanOne
:someone please care to explain where this blockbuster thing is coming from? which puzzle is that? and what has equations on the sides???
has anyone gotten the first password yet?
Allegra~WickedFanOne
:any cryptogram solver... i found an excellent one on google which shows all of the possibilities.
Jumbo-The-Elephant
:allgera, how many puzzles have you done?
Jumbo-The-Elephant
:AHHH, GOT IT, what was the X & 9 for??
Allegra~WickedFanOne
:i've finished the clocks, the blue buttons, the numbers, gotten the second password, decoded the cryptogram from #2 on the computer, and i can light up all of the lights on the stone one, but nothing more from that and nothing from the blue hexagons yet.
Mio
:Allegra - already tried converting the numbers to letters on a keypad. Even went into predictive text and typed the numbers, but all I got back was junk. The first 4 numbers gave me a word, but that was it. How many letters are there in the password?
Allegra~WickedFanOne
:the x was a placeholder, i don't know hwat the 9 was.
Allegra~WickedFanOne
:oops that probably should have been in spoilers. :/
Jumbo-The-Elephant
:ohhh, i gues because it a 9 letter word
Allegra~WickedFanOne
:mio:
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
type the whole thing into a text message (or just look at your cell phone i guess and count the letters) and you'll end up with a word
Allegra~WickedFanOne
:jumbo- have you solved the stones/lights thing or gotten the first password yet?
Jumbo-The-Elephant

Allegra~WickedFanOne
:jumbo, where is this word from?
Mio
:Thanks Jumbo - that did it... I hope. Off to try it now.
Allegra~WickedFanOne
:what puzzle is everyone working on now??
Jumbo-The-Elephant
:I did it like this: 222=F (when u put it in on phone) is that right, if so, i got 9 letters, and i used a cryptogram
Jumbo-The-Elephant
:oh bum! i forgot spoilers
Tomka
:still tryng the Ancient to the Modern
Mio
:Ok, it acepted password 2 on the computer and gave me the blue quarter of the puzzle. But you lot are all on about other puzzles!!! Where do you find these?
Allegra~WickedFanOne
