Boris And Bianca
Boris And Bianca is (or should that be are grammar-girl?) not so much a point'n'click game as an interactive fairytale, at least that's how it bills itself, but there's definitely some point'n'clickery in there, along with some slightly surreal stop-frame animation and weird music. All in all rather an odd, but enjoyable, thing for a Friday. Beware the rather long load times though [subbed by Na].

Gee, Graeme, just added my very 1st comment of all time (I'm a computer novice), and am titililated by how it went over. Have just recently found lazylaces and am addicted, visit you every day, just after checking my mails... Have added you to my list of "celebs I'd like to meet", along with the likes of Bill Maher, John Stewart, Dr. Deepak Chapra, Liza Minelli...! Keep up the good work! To reiterate, any clues for "Boris and Bianca, an interactive fairytale" would be appreciated, this has my curiosity peeked although my new-found skills are maybe inadequate (boo hoo)

O.K., y'all, after now 2hrs. on this, I've learned to look for a lit-up area, then a circle, then "click". But now I'm in an area that has 2 lit up places containing a turn-key, a General Electric gauge, and a "fuse" box seemingly containing clock or music box workings - but no circle apears...and where is my clayman-turned-mummy???

I give up! Will wait for others to get out of work?and start to comment. By the way, although I started a "saved" game, I always end up at the beginning. What aren't I doing correctly? (Please be kind, remember-I'm just learning...)

Graeme darling~
Because you are actually referring to 2 individuals within a group, then we consider the noun (s) plural. In this case, we use a plural verb. ( ARE )
as opposed to the singular form, used *incorrectly* above, "is".
You may have to stay after class young man! ;o)

However, since "Boris and Bianca" is the title of the game and he's referring to the game in the sentence, the verb "is" is correct. Perhaps the title of the game should be put in quotes to help emphasize that it's the title of the game.

Anna: Ahhh, true. I was only reading the names as a part of a sentence...it was PRE double vanilla latte in my defense. Graeme, you are still staying after class.... :)

Dianne, don't feel bad -- I can't get past the dresser drawer, and when I use the Tab key to find where else to click I keep going back to the beginning.

BRAVO, Anna!!! Graeme pretended to be confused as to proper usage, I think, because he is usually grammer-correct. Maybe to provoke conversation between us??? You are absolutely correct. The title comprises a singular thing, therefore "is". One should never hesitate to use puncuation to emphasize one's meaning!

Write on: dresser drawer? Are you referring to the level I described? It has #8 attached to it. I have just learned what a "tab" key is. I am in France, and my keyboard has arrows, left/right, and that means "tab" key. Thank you, "Windows XP Keyboard Shortcuts" for the diagram /explanation of the keyboard... So, you mean to say that that damn tab key works? I didn't even try, I'm such a virgin...It's now 9 P.M., and I will try again. But what about that "save" option???

That's the end? I got there (in fact if you just click on the top of the tree it shows the little movie for it), I figured you had to go across all the lines in the 'tree', not just get to the top.

this game is based on the jewish kabbalah. all the words have meaning in hevbrew, for example: kether- means crown, din-means - law and so on.
I am an Israeli and all these word are no-news for me.
