Eurostar Quest
If you've been moping around the house pondering how empty your life is since the end of the Da Vinci Code Quest, have no fear the Eurostar Quest is here. It's another Da Vinci Code game (sponsored by Eurostar) with plenty of puzzles and a chance to win prizes galore. Also, of course, it means you have a chance to redeem yourself if you didn't manage to get through to the final of the last one and you're still feeling bitter about it [subbed by Fiona & sopdox].

Anybody have problems loading the Eurostar game? I am stuck at 16% and I have Flash Player 8. ANy ideas? When I played earlier on a different computer I didn't have any problems loading.
By the way, to get to see the full screen, I had to change the screen resolution to 1152 x 864. That worked

So anyone remember what your best times were for the number puzzles at the end of each level? As good as I was playing the game, thats the part that counts, and I don't think I was fast enough! :( That's got to be one of the best grand prizes I have ever seen! *droooool*

I got the top row of the slider puzzle -- which, apparently, is what is recommended as the first step. Then you leave those squares locked in and don't touch them again. But I am making myself insane trying to get the bottom two rows right! Aaaarrrrrggggghhhhh!

Gorgeousplanet -- I had a REALLY tough time with the number puzzles at the end of Level 1. I could not get it to stop on the numbers I wanted. Is there a trick to it? If I wanted a 3, for instance, it kept zipping past 3 and landing on 8 -- no matter which direction I clicked in. The figuring out of the puzzle wasn't that tough -- it was the actual mechanics that did me in!

I always get one move away from solving it and then I basically have to start all over again.

anyone have a something similar to a walk a walkthrough that would help me beat this so I won't find myself staying up until 3:30 in the morning trying to beat this again.

belindaloo, when you spin the numbers, it will automatically spin over ones that are already on the board. so if you have a three in the first spot, but want to try it in the second spot, you have to take it out of the place its in before you can try it. its really quite a time waster because sometimes i would forget i had a number out already, and the trying to rearrange the others numbers to fit it in... argh, well you get the idea! hehe.
for everyone trying to solve the sliding puzzle.. my best piece of advice is just shuffle away, and try to keep as many pieces in their spots as possible while shuffling like heck at the others. i got so frustrated with it, but then out of nowhere it froze, and said i'd completed it! yay!

thanks for the spinning number tips, gorgeous! i hope i do better on level 2.

i finally finished the slider puzzle. i read on nordinho that sometimes you get an unsolve-able puzzle. not sure if that's true or not, but i abandoned my efforts, got a new puzzle, and solved it in no time. so perhaps there's some truth in it.

now stuck on the blasted blueprints!

loopy121 hope this helps - click the centre decorative wheel ( this disengages the gears) click and drag the letters on the outer wheel (this should spin both wheels) continue until your centre word spells .... mile ....now click on the centre decorative wheel again ( this locks the inner wheel) continue to spin the outer wheel until the outer wheel spells ..... royal ....if you have spun the outer wheel several times with out a word appearing click on a letter on the outer wheel without spinning (this changes the gears inside) and continue spinning again you may need to do this several times, have patience, if i can get it anyone can, good luck.

I have a suggestion for the slider puzzle:
HINT: (click box to highlight/fade)
It loads a different combination every time you click "restart", and sometimes the "blank" is in a different spot. For example, the first one I tried, the blank was the bottom left corner. The 2nd one was the middle right (what the?). I kept clicking until I got one with the bottom right (the "correct one" my hubby said) as the blank. Then, solve the first row, and the 2nd/3rd should fall into place without as much difficulty.
Hope that helps! :)

A hint for the blueprint one:

HINT: (click box to highlight/fade)
Pay attention to not only the windows, but the bottom of the "page" edges as well. When they match, it's a good thing...
Don't use the official hints until you're "almost there" because they only give you 2 hints.

the whole pic is a left/right mirror image, so whatever you correctly place on the left goes exactly same place on right only turned around! Try starting with the oblongs in the top towers..

Easy way to do the blueprint one, when the clue appears,do a print screen and there you go,some pieces are difficult to recognize but it helps a lot.
