Norakurabako
Why can I only find games in Japanese on a day when I really just want to rest my brain? Anyway, Norakurabako is my favourite of the bunch as a). I've actually managed to find some things in this one, b). The really weird way you move from scene to scene (click and drag in the direction you want to move) is a totally new thing to me in a point'n'click game [subbed by f00].

I've been playing this game since last night. The cat puzzle drives me insane. I've given up several times, despite almost finishing :/

This is a great game, and I completed it with minimal help which is rare for me. The code for the briefcase doesn't come until a good ways into the game. It has to do with the slips of paper you'll find and some computer stuff. I recommend starting with the mini-games/puzzles.

I've finished the cat puzzle and it gives you a number...
I've finished all those button pressing puzzles as well... (excluding the one on the door)
I've picked up a whole load of items...

I have:
3 funny shaped blocks
a photograph or something
crowbar
sledgehammer
and a rod

I found pieces of paper with the following on them:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Li (hack)
He (ask)
H (eat)
C (remove)

my guess as to what they mean:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
do those have to do with the table of elements? Do I have to go research stuff now?

also I found that plaque on the wall that has all the E's on it... is that braille? Do I need to know braille?

AHHHHHHHHHHHH
help? anyone?

oh, and I forgot to mention.. I got the CD ROM... I put it in the compy, but don't know how to turn the computer on or use it or anything

Comment 14, Sunday, April 2nd 2006 08:27:00 PM

Aviva

:
No knowledge of braille is necessary, although some very minimal amounts of chemistry is required.
And if you meant what I think you did about the funny shaped blocks?

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
They're keys

Brer Steve

:
Well, I found one of them is a door handle.. and I made use of the crowbar already... and I found one more element (Be), so my guess is that I'll find Boron around there somewhere to get the last word..

I found the DVD RAM too... what do I do with that? I've tried putting it in the computer, and into the DVD player.. nothing works...

how do I get the computer on?

Comment 16, Sunday, April 2nd 2006 09:14:00 PM

Brer Steve

:
I managed to use the rod, and the other blocks (I swear I tried them where they were supposed to go before)

All I have left is the picture, DVD RAM, and sledgehammer
I got two of the computer drawers open (bottom two) and I think one of them is a scale or something? The other one needs a code, and I don't know where to find that yet...

Am I supposed to be able to use the DVD RAM yet? Can I get on the computer yet somehow? Or is something else needed?

heh, yeah I actually already did that... used the thing I get and now I have a pick or chizel type thing.
That doesn't seem to help me at all.. I've tried it on most everything.

well, I got the parts to fix the DVD player to make it usable. I put in the DVD, I press the buttons on there, nothing happens... and the TV won't come on. Sup with that?

Comment 24, Sunday, April 2nd 2006 09:57:00 PM

:
you need to find the power cord for the tv too

Comment 25, Sunday, April 2nd 2006 09:59:00 PM

Brer Steve

:
yeah right... you serious? GRRR!
speaking about the DVD power chord,

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
why on earth was it in the computer!?!?!?!

so... where might I find said power chord? If it's in the top drawer of the computer desk, I'll not be a happy man... a sledgehammer and a photograph don't help me get in there. Though you'd THINK the sledgehammer would solve all my problems so that I could SMASH DOWN THAT DOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comment 26, Sunday, April 2nd 2006 10:02:00 PM

I didn't use that yet I'm stuck at trying to find the other CD to get the computer to work. But I think I'm going to give up because I should be studying for an exam.

for some reason i cant break the back of the middle computer drawer with the sledgehammer ... a lil help please

Comment 34, Sunday, April 2nd 2006 10:25:00 PM

Brer Steve

:
when the drawer is open, FIRST click on the front of the drawer so it disappears.. then drag the sledgehammer over the back portion of the drawer that isn't covered by the scale...

Comment 35, Sunday, April 2nd 2006 10:28:00 PM

it's tricky. You have to find a teeny spot that isn't the drawer and isn't the scale.

so, anyone know how to turn on the computer yet? I've gone as far as getting the door code, although I don't know how to use it... I'm totally stuck.. it's driving me nuts.

I need to:
- solve the door code
- turn on the computer
- solve the bottom drawer code (with the playing cards numbers)
- find out what the scale is used for
- get into the briefcase
- learn what on earth the plaque with the E's and dots mean
- get that stupid top drawer open!

any help with ANY of these would be massively appreciated!

ill be nice and help:

open pc with screwdriver, put in cord, take out other cord

the playing cards go in 2,4,6,8 1,3,5 order. find the misplaced

you will find weights for scale

for briefcase there is a complicated way to get 323103

later with lights off use a thing on the plaque

top drawer with one of the puzzle keys

the chord is in the briefcase... but how on earth did you get the code for the briefcase?

also, I'm confused about the playing cards code.. I don't know what you mean by it.

and everything on the computer just comes up with symbols.. my compy can't read the japanese characters I guess... do you know what that stuff says?
