Escape to Obion V
Another slice of point'n'click quality for you from the Escape to Obion team with the release of Episode V in this great series. From what I understand there's no slow down in the rate of production (they were running at one episode a week), but the delay on this has been due to hosting cost issues (no need to tell me about that one), so if you enjoy the series you might want to visit their donation page [subbed by Mike].

To get the pieces to move, first click on where you want the piece to go, then click on the piece. Note that pieces oriented horizontally cannot be moved vertically, etc...

I'm a little confused about the "clock" looking things. I saw the picture on the wall above the block and water puzzle, and it changed positions when I got them both right, but I still can't figure out what position to put the hands in. Any help? Thanks!

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
That problem is kinda deceptive. First, the hands are backwards order, so whilst on the bottom floor it's the big hand pointing northwest and the little hand pointing southeast, you actually swap them (big hand south east and little hand northwest). Second, the positions of the numbers aren't an exact match to where the hands should be pointing, so you have to try a few random combinations (3 and 9, 4 and 9, 3 and 10, 3 1/2 and 10... etc) but you should eventually hear that satisfying 'Ding!'

Personally, I'm stuck where you are, Christal. I've done all the other puzzles and got all the information I can think to get, but no matter what combination of colours and symbols I press nothing happens other than that annyoing clunking noise.

I'm stuck with Cristal & Mr T ...... the letter from "monday" said the symbols don't really matter????
being male I only know primary colors so I can't even name the remaining ones?

still stuck in same spot with you, Zeppelin and Mr. T, just here the clunking noise and the note that has colored numbers does not help, the colors of the numbers are not the same as the symbols, if ya'll figure anything out let me know, thanks, i will do the same

one of the games gives you the right wattage, you just have to keep changing the colours till its right

so no one has for to level 4 yet where i am?

I was stuck where you were ... with the right symbols but it not unlocking, but if you go back to the puzzles and look again at the symbols it gave you, that will help.

Can someone help me figure out the voltmeter?? I just don't get it. What are the colours on the right supposed to be?

Thank you!!!

Comment 27, Thursday, March 2nd 2006 04:33:00 PM

Monika

:
the colours are the stripes on a resistor

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
first stripe - tens
second stripe - units
third stripe - multiplier (e.g. x 100 etc)
fourth stripe - tolerance (error zone)

I think maybe the settings I'm using to play the game are wrong, something to do with the whole "Play" "Loop" options... anyway - not working for me.

if it's sound related I'm going to have to give it another go at home, no sound at work.

I wondered if maybe to do with the symbols at entry to level?

Danni, I looked at the color of the box with the symbol and clicked on tan, grey, grey symbols, nothing works, any more hints?

Level 4 puzzle:

First line:
The symbols and their tones need to be matched.
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Go back to the musical pinball puzzle and note the symbols and sound. The each button on the first line has one tone associated with it. You need to make them so that their symbol and tone match.

Second Line:
Refer to the note you found earlier. Read the last page and look at the first. Note the numbers and colors.

Then you need to associate the color sequence with what you've done on the first line.
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Match the symbols and sound sequence and their order.
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
The first symbol on the first line is the fifth symbol in the sound/symbol sequence. The second is the sixth and so on. Since you don't have orange, the number starts at 2. So the first one (fifth) is 6=yellow, the second (sixth) 7=red, and so on.
