Ouverture Facile
Ouverture Facile isn't just another online puzzle game where you have to change the URL to progress to the next level, although you do have do a bit of that, this one also features some nice flash elements which really adds something to the whole experience. Oh, and it's in French, did I not mention that before? Well you might have guessed from the name anyway. "Ouverture Facile" is French for "Easy Opening", which I would think is probably telling us that the game is easy to open, but difficult to close/finish. Bonne chance mes amis! [subbed by Philippe].

I got almost the same answers, but I´m stuck too.

How did you get from

10.txt

?
maybe there´s a missing link.

I´ve found the hint for the

color hex and I´ve got:
999933
330066
990066
009900
990099
330066

but I´ve no idea what to do with that.
In the O-F forum they talk about a 3-letter-word definition, got no idea what they mean.
Do you have any idea how to go on with that, Tevan??

ok, the list above has some mistakes,
here´s the corrected one:

999933 999737
330066 200853
990066 or 970557
339900 379919
990066 930570

the first one is for web-colors the 2nd is the exact one

If you take the file, put it in irfanview, and mess around with the saturation/ contrast (I can't remember which) you get the message colour hex and 10.txt

But those values, are they the H** values of the answers? Because the calculator clue might help with those...

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
what is "colour" in hex values? that might help too

Ive tried adding the "Three letter word" to the hex values but im getting nothing...

Hey Christian,
would you mind telling me the three letter word? That's the only thing I need to get, then I'll probably see something....

In the O-F Forum, they siad that the exact Hex-codes will be better and a calculator should be useful...

move the MP3 player to find the username.jpg file, then look AT the mp3 player to find the password.mp3 file. Because both of these are unavailable, you need to put username.jpg in the url.

Comment 2814, Saturday, May 12th 2007 10:10:28 PM

Christian

:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
When you're on 10.txt you will see a jumble of random words but if you look at every tenth word you will see a hint leading to the answer...Zoo

But as it says on the picture hint (Forgot exact Url...15.png?)..."Color Hex To 10.txt"...and the answer to 10.txt is zoo so how would you color hex to it?

That's just what I think...
Anyone else got any ideas?

Comment 2815, Saturday, May 12th 2007 10:13:18 PM

My bad...to my above comment I meant to say...

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
"Color Hex + 10.txt"

Could this help?

Comment 2816, Saturday, May 12th 2007 10:15:27 PM

Christian

:
Just tried...

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

...Taking the exact hex values of the squares and converting them to binary then taking "Zoo" and converting it to binary then taking all the similarites out of the two numbers and converting them back to text...

Example...

Zoo=......011110100110111101101111
999737=100110011001
011100110111
Same=.........110..............1110..1....111

Result
= 11011101111 which converts back to "Ý" in text.
I did this with the first two hex values and got the letters "Ý" and "E" but for some off reason it doesn't work with the other 4...Coincidence? Or am I on to something?

If you take every 10th word of the ten.txt file, starting with the first, then the second and so on, you should get ten hints leading to ten words. But I´ve no idea how to connect them to the color-hex and how a calculator should be used in this riddle.

Comment 2819, Sunday, May 13th 2007 11:07:48 PM

Tevan

:
Okay, I think we're onto something now...
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
perhaps we have to compare ALL the answers to the one colour hex, then we'll find the rest of the text! But I can't do that on my pc =(, can you do it, Christian?

Comment 2820, Monday, May 14th 2007 04:44:29 PM

Christian

:
Meh...I don't think this is going to work...
I think we're just waisting our time here.
There has to be another way...

Oh by the way...
Use this site for all your hex/binary/text conversions...

http://scarlethamster.com/binary.html

It works perfectly and it's easy to use.

Isn't there someone here that has already beat this level that can push us in the right direction?

Comment 2821, Tuesday, May 15th 2007 05:04:58 AM

Flo

:
Ok, we´ve got ten words and 6 hex-values.
The question is how to connect them and how a calculator comes in here.
Maybe we have to flip the hex-values like the ten.txt (swapping lines and columns), but there´s still a missing link.

Any ideas anyone??

Comment 2822, Tuesday, May 15th 2007 12:59:24 PM

I just noticed that:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
when you put an hex-value backwards in your calculator and turn it for 180° some of the words are shown.
e.g.:
hex value: 512383 (the last one)

flipped: SIZE-BE

maybe this leads us somewhere.

to me, you can arrange those "letters" in the square you find for a crossword... then I don't know where to go...

Comment 2831, Wednesday, May 16th 2007 12:15:12 AM

Christian

:
Well if that's so then what does the 10.txt words have to do with?

*Cough* Flo where are lol *Cough*

Comment 2832, Wednesday, May 16th 2007 02:41:43 AM

Christian

:
Ok so Tevan...

I plugged all of Flo's words into the boxes to form a crossword like you said...I then found all the 10.txt words in the jumble of letters like a wordsearch.

I found all the words withen the wordsearch except for "Shreik" "Shin" and "Sole" and the remaining letters I had left were GGLLEIEG...Or in numbers 99773139

But I dont know what to do from there...

Comment 2833, Wednesday, May 16th 2007 03:29:08 AM

Christian

:
Made a mistake...That I should be an L and an E should be at the end...

So the remaining letters should be GGLLELEGGE
...or 9977373993 in numbers

And again I am lost

Comment 2834, Wednesday, May 16th 2007 03:32:38 AM

Tevan

:
Well, it does say "colour hex + ten.txt... maybe we have to combine the .txt square with the hex square... I'll try that now

Comment 2835, Wednesday, May 16th 2007 03:34:19 AM

Christian

:
No I have got to be onto something...It works so perfectly...I must have made a mistake somewhere...

Comment 2836, Wednesday, May 16th 2007 03:39:09 AM

Tevan

:
Actually Christian, we found the word "giggle" within the wordsearch, so that would account for "shriek", but again, I have no idea where to go either =P

Comment 2837, Wednesday, May 16th 2007 03:45:33 AM

Tevan

:
So that means that the missing letters, taken from a left-to-right reading style, are ggllele, and 9977373 in numbers... but what are we looking for? it specifically states "colour hex PLUS ten.txt"... that must mean something...

Comment 2838, Wednesday, May 16th 2007 03:47:08 AM

Christian

:
So your saying that GIGGLE counts for SHREIK?

If so I could cross out some letters making it GGLLELE left...?

Here take a look at this...

Comment 2839, Wednesday, May 16th 2007 03:48:08 AM

Lol

Comment 2840, Wednesday, May 16th 2007 03:48:50 AM

Christian

:
Could one of the 10.txt answers possibly be LEG instead of SHIN...It can't be SHIN since there isn't a number that can represent H...unless you count 4 but there isn't any in the hex values...

Comment 2841, Wednesday, May 16th 2007 04:00:11 AM

Christian

:

Allright well I've had enough of this for today.

I'm sick of this level I really just want to finish it once and for all.

Comment 2843, Wednesday, May 16th 2007 04:07:54 AM

Tevan

:
Yeah, giggle should count as shriek... but yeah, maybe we should just wait till Flo comes back on and saves us from perpetual irritation by telling us the final step haha

Comment 2844, Wednesday, May 16th 2007 04:22:21 AM

Flo

:
ok

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

first of all: the first hex was wrong, it´s 999539. That means the first line is GGGSEG. Now you can cross out every word from the ten.txt (shin=leg) and then there should be three letters left. That´s it.

Comment 2845, Wednesday, May 16th 2007 09:38:35 AM

Comment 2849, Wednesday, May 16th 2007 11:14:09 PM

Christian

:
Allright level 68...My thoughts...

So far I don't know how exactly to start this one but these are things I've tried already...

Overlaying the images of Level 68 and Level 02 over each other...Got nothing...

The arrow points to the clue...So I changed the clue similar to the way you changed the Url in level 02...Got nothing...

Source Codes, Hidden Text...Nothing
And I don't have a printer either...But by what the forum says I'm probably not going to need one but...I'm lost.
