Ouverture Facile
Ouverture Facile isn't just another online puzzle game where you have to change the URL to progress to the next level, although you do have do a bit of that, this one also features some nice flash elements which really adds something to the whole experience. Oh, and it's in French, did I not mention that before? Well you might have guessed from the name anyway. "Ouverture Facile" is French for "Easy Opening", which I would think is probably telling us that the game is easy to open, but difficult to close/finish. Bonne chance mes amis! [subbed by Philippe].

Level 64 - for dummies (sorry but I've explained it couple of times already)

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)

- score is in G-key so go throught the notes and associate all the caps in the text with notes to get:
<pre>A B D A C B B C B A I H
C C D D D D E E F F F F
-
C L I J K E D C G
C D D D D E E F F
-
D E E H G F A F D E F
C C D D D D E E F F F
-
B D A C D E A B C
G G A A A A B B B
-
A C E B I E H D F G
G G G A B B B B B B</pre>
- Notice that each note has associated letters in alphabetical order starting from A
- Do the connect the dots thing with same note across the score in alphabetical order starting with A
- note C gives you Z, note D gives E ... -> ZERO MP3

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
- open zero.mp3 -> "This symphony is called 'When two canons agreed' START"
- There are also one.mp3, two.mp3, three.mp3, four.mp3, five.mp3 and six.mp3

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
-Write down all the tracks and align them so next track starts under letter that comes after START in previous track
- it should look like this:
<pre>J E^I P N K T V O S I L J A E O U
F P R^N L I L A M E N K M T S
F L R^I Q C I R Z U N V
Q A V^N S V S X E
V N G^L Q S
E G N</pre>

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
- All you got left is find which letters are the same when going column by column across all the tracks and you get solution P-L-A-N-E-S

If there is still someone who cannot solve this level, perhaps they should consider quiting this game.

Okay, I need help on level 65:

Do I need one of those hexadecimal programs?

Comment 2658, Saturday, February 10th 2007 09:25:37 PM

HarveyK

:
There is no need for hex editor on level 65. You'll need image editing program thou. One that can alter gama settings and join couple of images together.

lvl 65

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Take the screenshot, put it in some image editing program and increase image gama. you'll get letters in 3 colors (purple, blue & yellow)
Purple spells SALAD, blue is BREAD and yellow is STEAK
If you add .PNG to each word you get 3 b/w images that need to be joined together in a labyrinth
When you draw the path through labyrinth you'll notice it looks like some word with 4 letters.

Hope that helped. ;-)

Just paste the images ontop of each other. I used paint. Then you should have a picture that looks like a maze. When you draw the path through the maze, it kinda spells out a word. The First letter is P

Comment 2677, Tuesday, February 13th 2007 08:53:23 PM

HarveyK

:
You should have tried the middle one, and i hope you used quotation marks in search. You should get page with this text "Jean Tritheme (1462 - 1516) was an expert in cryptography. The famous code of Jean Trithème transforms a text in a litany more or less clearly but by adding some link-words that can appear completely credible.
The method consists in transforming each letter by an expression."

But you need what follows that text ;-)

I've been staring at that tombstone for couple of hours, did some image editing hoping to find hidden text, but than i checked the official forums and they mention that you don't need to know french but writing is important, so i started googling parts of the writing on the tombstone and stumbled upon "Jean Tritheme’s code". Higher levels are not that easy and require quite some research.

I've finished all 76 levels just few days ago, so i can provide hints, but please don't ask for complete solutions because it could ruin the fun of the game.

Agent James - lvl 17

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
You need to overlay the mask (yang.jpg) on the image (yin.jpg) and than rotate it together for 180 degrees. Than just type the letters in order as they appear from top to bottom, left to right.

I won't ask for complete solutions but I was just curious on how you approached the level...
I'm still on 66 but I've found all 3 images but I haven't really gotten any farther then that (I'm not asking for help I'm just saying...lol)

EDIT: Ok I got all the information I possibly could with the two pictures but I have absolutely no idea what to do with the cyphered sentence...

I just have two small question...
1.Is the epitaphs on the two graves important in any way? Because I can't find them anywhere...
2.Is the name on the first grave important AT ALL? (The one you start out with..)

If you could just a yes or a no to both of these questions would help greatly...

Comment 2695, Thursday, February 15th 2007 11:38:57 PM

HarveyK

:
Christian

1. No.
HINT: (click box to highlight/fade)
You only need what you can read from the pictures.

2. Yes.
HINT: (click box to highlight/fade)
It is connected to the place you need to find, but you may find it even without name reference.

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
you have to find the cemetery, and name on tombstone will lead you to it. Names on pictures you found will help you in locating the right graves and original pictures on the map. Cyphered sentence is needed for the final solution.
