Ouverture Facile
Ouverture Facile isn't just another online puzzle game where you have to change the URL to progress to the next level, although you do have do a bit of that, this one also features some nice flash elements which really adds something to the whole experience. Oh, and it's in French, did I not mention that before? Well you might have guessed from the name anyway. "Ouverture Facile" is French for "Easy Opening", which I would think is probably telling us that the game is easy to open, but difficult to close/finish. Bonne chance mes amis! [subbed by Philippe].

I won't email you the answer. I don't even remember the answer anyway. If you know that then it shouldn't be too difficult.

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
The crossword only has two x's. Line up the red x pieces onto those spots and put the puzzle together. Then you'll be able to read a sentence in the blocks from X to X

22 was a pain, but I get it now. Who else still stuck?

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Notice the starting point "decibel" and the XOR key "unsound" are the same # of letters in length. The trick is to do the X-OR encryption manually, and not rely on any program you find on the web. Use Wikipedia as a guide to understand how XOR encryption is done - it's very simple.

To Mark, Nate, Jim, Blake:
I really don't think four of you all got stuck on the same level at the same time. No need to create multiple personalities. As far as that level goes, it's easy. So easy that someone who can get that far should be able to figure it out. Hee hee.

tofu + wine + salt = ???????
tws/TWS? doesn't work
20+23+19=62 (ordinal places in the alphabet)? doesn't work
ASCII values for the beginning letters of each word in upper and lower case, and for the whole words in the case written on the page, both summed and concatenated? doesn't work.

another hint for #9:

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Do the lines really intersect on whole words, or are you just making assumptions?

Now I'm stuck on 17.
SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
I've fit the images together, but the letters they reveal aren't clear enough. "macRine" doesn't work.

ARGH I got #17, and all I can say is.. the majority of the time I spend tearing out my hair and trying to solve puzzles comes from very poor writing style on part of the level designers... an R is not an h, by any means! and a d is not an a!

Now I'm stuck on 20. I have no idea what to start with.

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
It's binary, right? but what do the horizontal french fries represent? and why do I only get weird accented letters when I try and convert. What's with the arrow pointing up? does it mean anything?
