I found the hint in the library so I guess I need to find some kind of sun. The panel in 1f north is hidden behind the elevator. Don't know behind which elevator the thing is and how to get the elevator out of the way. Can you get a bit more specific, please?

:the library is 2f southeast but the key is on the third floor.
About the pictures:

If you put the picture with the dead dragon with the sword sticking in it into the picture frame you will be able to take the dagger. If you put the picture which looks a little bit like a phoenix into the frame you will be able to take the egg.

:I don't think I remember everything I did and i don't want to do it all again so I probably won't write a walkthrough. A lazylaces wiki would be nice so we could collaborate in writing a walkthrough, though.

:For the heart puzzle in the basement (the one with the eight buttons next to the room with the seven symbols on the walls) I needed some help from the nordinho guys (see the link by hooper in one of the comments above). Seems like you can't solve it (or only with trial and error) if you can't read japanese.
For the blue sliders
HINT: (click box to highlight/fade)
first solve the symbols and numbers puzzle in the library. Shouldn't be that hard if you know how to add some numbers up, which I did not manage to do until ten minutes ago :(. After that use the device on the third floor to match the 3 digit numbers to the moon phases. Then I suppose you can use one of those numbers to move the wardrobe next to the blue sliders down in 1f north. Unfortunately I don't know which moon phase I need to pick and whether zero is at the top or the bottom of the sliders.
There is another room in the dungeons below the basement where you can use the 3x3 dot matrix from one of the books in the library so don't think too much about that until you get down there. There's another puzzle in that room but I don't really know what to think about it yet.

:I just solved the puzzle with the blue sliders:

Figure out the numbers in the library. You need to map the numbers form 0 to 9 to the symbols. The numbers 0, 1, 2 and 3 can be found in the tearoom. For the others you'll need the scales and one of the books from the library. When you stand in front of the drawing with the hand in 1F north do what it says and look up. You'll see a moon. Jot down what it looks like and go to the machine on the third floor. Choose the right moon and fiind out which numbers correspond to the symbols which you see when you select the right moon. Put the slides in 1F north in the right position (0 is botton, 9 is top). Try to close the panel and listen for a sound. If you did it right the wardrobe will move to the side and a door will appear. Go outside and pick up the fruits of your labor...

:arghhh... I am having some trouble working out the number system.
I got the first four 0,1,2,3
Then used the three equations to work out two of the others but I don't know how to work out certain symbols.

The four petalled flower that looks a bit like an aeroplane propeller.
The two ellipses overlapping at right angles.
I get that the curly diamond is the same as two aero-props from the scales, and that the Curly capital E thing is three times the bauble (but I don't know what the bauble is worth?) from the other balance thing, and that the Ellipses is worth 2 more than the prop, but I can't see how to get the prop value

I figured how to use the long gold moon hook thing in basement to open locked bar doors...reach thru and flip lever with it.

:don't know about any men in the basement and by now I don't even have anymore of those damn doors left down there. There is just one more place in the basement which I cannot reach or toch for some unknown reason.

The third one is down in the basement next to the teleporter. This one doesn't open a new room but allows you to quickly return to the basement.
