what's the difference between the first two numbers? and the second and third?

since the difference between the first two is 12, and 16 between the second and third, add 20 (see, 4*3, 4*4, now 4*5) to the third number, and bam! you're in.

MINIMAL HINTS:
* you can find one thing easily: a PDA pass hint.
* there are two other things that are harder to find, because (hint):

* you can find a key, hidden very well (hint):

near where you're trying to go.
* the power cable won't work because the power's off -- the transformer in the corner needs to be turned on, and something you have will turn it on, namely:

* just plugging in the power cable charges the PDA.
* and the PDA needs a code, which the hint you found tells you: just

8312, access card is under that metal table NOT the wooden one, keys on bottem right of door, pda inside the foot area for the wooden table, cable in wooden table where used keys for the drawer, and finally the hint paper is behind the books on the shelf <spoiler/>
