The Seven Noble Kinsmen
Learn about Shakespeare and have a point'n'click adventure with The Seven Noble Kinsmen. Is there anything that point'n'click games can't do? Prepare to be educated! Anyway it's from the BBC stable which means the sound is good, the graphics are great, and, once again, it's being released in weekly parts to keep you hooked (and to keep up with the TV schedules). Only part one is available now, but part 2 is out next week. All I need to know now is how to get a job at the BBC working on these things - they seem to be working overtime at the moment, with some very cool results.

I played this over at Nordinho just today. It's a great game. Like Graeme said, lovely graphics and superb gameplay with two of my favourite things; murder mystery and Shakespeare :)

I can't wait until Act II is released.

What's with the constant requirement to sign in? What if I find that I don't like the game? If they want to save progress then just use cookies and be done with it.

Once you sign up, you can access all the games on the BBC website using the same sign in details. There must be something on there you might like :o)

Ninaballerina,

HINT: (click box to highlight/fade)
It's IN something and you have to crack a code to get into that something.

Awesome game. The BBC is coming up with some great stuff... even if I don't know what programs they're tied to.

hmm... is anyone else having problems entering the numbers into the safe? I've clicked on it, highlighted the starting numbers, and tried to type in my own... but no dice. Is there a trick to it, or is my browser weird or something?

Comment 19, Thursday, November 10th 2005 05:21:00 PM

Macrina

:
Oops, I meant "cabinet," not "safe." But I'm still not able to actually enter the numbers, although I know what they are. ARGH!

Ok, somehow reloading the game seems to fix whatever technical quirk that was.

Quite a cool game. Makes me want to re-read some Shakespeare. :)

Just delete the numbers in the lock, and type your own ones in through the keyboard. Cool game i liked it, good graphics too, i cant wait for the rest, very suspenseful!

Graeme, I love these BBC games but I never know how to search for them on the BBC site. Thanks for posting this one. Those people look kinda creepy though. But I'm having fun so far.

I've managed to take a sneaky peek at the script for this game (according to Graeme I work for the BBC) and it turns out it was Christopher Marlowe all along

Also, Romeo and Juliet both die

Great game, i finished ACT I and can't wait for II. Only thing that annoyed me was how dark the screen seemed to be, made it extra difficult to find anything...(but that might be my own monitor settings) and my computer is a little older, so some of the scenes took a bit to load. Other than that, it was fantastic!
