:Been playing it for four years great game and worth the £3 a month to be a member you get all the better stuff. but beware! you will have your heartbroken by taking on npcs (non-player controled) that have a higher level than you and skills take a long time to get (but not as long as it use to)!

:I used to play a lot, but it is very time consuming and can be difficult to get the hang of....I wandered around quite a bit and got lost a lot....but it's great for anyone into rpgs....

:You've never played Runescape? Ah, it's alright. I never got into it personally, and I'm a BIG mmorpGamer. Truth is, I believe this game is made for the beginners of mmog's. Those who haven't been pulled into its hideous cycle of buy, play, get bored, buy play, get bored, etc....
But hey, it's fun while it lasts.

:I played it last December, it was fun initially, to explore and stuff but after awhile, for example till I got fed up training to get skill points, it gets really boring...i got to about level 56 :D but it took a long time

I advise getting a membership eventually - but you can do plenty as a nonmember, and you probably should get some experience built up before joining members worlds anyway. :To me, Runescape was one of those ways to pass the boring summer months in between Uni...then I realised a 22 year old shouldn't be playing a game mainly populated by 13 year old boys....my reputations bad enough

:have to agree, can get addicting, but also gets boring when your trying to up levels, days on end doin the same dam thing. i got hooked on it twice, old and new runescape for about a year each time. never got membership, and i was pretty maxed out the second time. once you get real hi in free world, only thing you can do is just make money that you cant use for stuff you want cause they are all member stuff. i stopped playing and went to apocalyps online, in which i did the same thing, got old. same with puzzle pirates. i like the free games, which is how i found this site, looking for something new to waste a month or two on.
maybe you guys can help me. i need a new game.

:I've been playing it for years too, it's a fun game, and I go on and off from it. what I like is your account is never deleted, no matter how long you go without playing. Another good game of similar style is the adult themed sociolotron, you have to download it, and it's ten bucks a month, but you can be a hooker, stripper, doctor, shopkeeper, things of that nature. it' rocks. Anyways, runescape is cool because all you need to run it is java, you don't have to download. Best timekiller ever.

:pfft. if you want a mmorpg, i would rank w.o.w. weeelll over runescape. (i can see how the latter might be preferred for free-ness and all, but if you've the funds and the machine to run it, w.o.w.'s just... so.. much.. better.)
little kids used to play runescape all day on the computers at the library where i work but they were killing our bandwidth usage limits, so it got blocked.

:I played this while I was recovering from an operation - it helped to while away the hours for a couple of months, but I don't play much now I am back in the real world. I like the quests, but building up levels is pretty tedious. I am Mila007

:if u wanna make some cash then runescape is the way just search for runescape on ebay and peoples accounts sometimes go for £100's of pounds because of their level and items, i havent ever got into runescape but i find the selling of user acounts amazing

:Yeah and anyone who buys an acct on ebay is stupid - Jagex (the company that runs Runescape) checks ebay for acct sellers and bans those accounts.

i'm not normally one for games, never owned a ps or anything , but i like runescape, yeah it gets boring getting ya lvl's up but its worth it, passes the time and £3.20 a month aint gonna break anyones bank.
Its mainly populated by kids, but when its "school time" its great, less ppl which makes it better, especially when some new armour comes out and ya make a killing selling it!!
give it ago, its deffo worth it cos theres free worlds, but if u get liek em and want to explore further then try the members worlds, you only get debited once a month and can cancel it at anytime and still pay up to the end of the paid month!!

you guys should check my stats i started in july and im a member im a lvl 69 and i died and lost a warrior helm, ammy of glory, ring of wealth, ice gloves, rune kite, and a nature tally(my first one) so i guess its back to runescape. Thanks again i guess.

:I loved it for a bit, then got into CSI games. Great roleplaying and you have many quests to solve, nice being interactive with other people to (playing on dial-up connection can be a pain though). Lots of people roaming around and it can be easy to be killed if you don't judge the other's power level right (damn thiefs, orges and vampires). Had to rewin a VERY special sword a lot in the begiining due to rushing ahead without looking. (Always check mini map to see if a bad guy or something interesting is up ahead, to help you save time and lives.)

:I started playing runescape about 5 or 6 year ago but it really is a nerd game if you think about it, you have to battle goblins find the runes to beat the wizards..... I stopped playing it a long time ago but if there's nothing else to do I'll go on it occasionally

:but around the holidays is pretty fun like during easter the easter bunny hops around and you have to help him pass out eggs in less then 3 minutes If you do you get a rubber chicken... I think that was he last time I played

:I started the game when it was hardly four months old. :3 Runescape is an MMORPG, the last I heard it was the... sixth largest in the world? Amazing that you've only just now heard of it.
I quit a long time ago, though. Complications they seem to have worked out, such as only listening to the vocal minority instead of the quiet majority. I'd say RS is worth a try if you're willing to put alot of time into it. The game really only consists of powerleveling, which is really just repeatedly doing the same thing, over and over, just to gain experience points. Untill you reach a certain level and gain a new skill, and you start doing THAT over and over again. Not my type of game.
Though, it can be great fun if you have some friends that are willing to play with you. Otherwise, I suggest you try something a little more casual, and not so terribly addictive. (I was playing even though I hated it. Not a good experience.)

:i think you'll find its rune scape, and if you can't get on to it, go via miniclip www.miniclip.com and runescape should be on the front somewhere. anyway when you get on, use the unsigned default java, and if any one wants to add me i'm devilmunkeyx see ya on runescape. p.s. if it doesn't show up don't worry ;-) give it a minute
