BlivOfficer
BlivOfficer is a point'n'click game, but I'm too busy playing the sub-game, "guess the language", to work out the pointy and clicky bits right now. I'm tending towards something Scandinavian - in fact I'm going to guess "Norwegian", I think they have those "o"'s with a strike through them like old skool computer zeros. Guesses upon language and gameplay in the comments as usual [subbed by derly].

Update: Darn it's Danish - I was wrong - thanks folks.

I also have screwdriver, pliers, blue "light" and two keys. I'm at a loss at this point. If I find anything new I will surely post! Why does that man keep screaming at me every time I find something? LOL

ok, once again, i like to get the walkthru's out of the way, so people dont ask for them. you dont want it, dont click it. courtesy of the geekforums l33t

SPOILER: (click box to reveal/hide)
Hallway:

* Fire Extinguisher Key: view the extinguisher, then click b/w the black handles for rear view and pull the pin you find there. View the front again and push the red button. Go back to the rear view and push in the black latch. Front view again, click black handle.
* Light Bulb: look down at the gun. Click the cylinders of the gun (area b/w gun handle and gun barrel) to get a closer view two time. Click on a small shiny silver spot (lower right side of gun) to get the bulb.
* Wire Cutter: From the view where you got the bulb you'll see a pipe in the corner by the door you first came thru. Click on the pipe, then again at its base to find the cutter behind it on the floor.
* Screwdriver: View the base of the barrels. Push the gray barrel to find the screwdriver.
* Magnet: From the view where you found the screwdriver: click on the gray barrel at the very top of the screen/view. You should now be looking up at some pipes along the ceiling. The fuzzy red spot among these pipes is the magnet.
* Pipes Key: By the door you first came thru are 6 vertical pipes parallel to eachother. On the 2nd pipe (from the left): the upper portion on the right side of the pipe is a slightly darker area. Once you've found and opened this secret compartment, use the magnet for the key.
* Hinge Key: Find the door to the right of the extinguisher (near where you found the wire cutter). It should have its hinges on its left side and switches on the wall to its right. Click the top-left hinge for close view. Use the screwdriver, then wire cutter to get key.

Turn around and use the 3 keys on the door to the barracks.

Barracks:

* Bullet: Find it inside a glass on the table.
* Brass Key: Clicking on the wall clock reveals the key @ corner of ceiling.
* Password #1: It's on 4 pieces of papers, each with a letter. Find them underneath all the pillows. The password is "alfa".
* Flashlight: Inside the first locker. Use with the bulb in your inventory.
* Handgun: Click above the last locker. Use with bullet in your inventory.
* Password #3 It's a blank piece of paper. View where both lockers and part of table is visible, then click beneath the lockers to look underneath it. Use the flashlight in the left corner to find it by the leg of the locker. The password is "uniform".
* Password #2: Use loaded handgun to unlock filing cabinet. Find photo inside second to last drawer. Password is "foxtrot".

Go back to the hallway and head towards the door at the end of the hall (near the barrels). Insert the brass key. Enter passwords: "alfa", turn key, "foxtrot", turn key, "uniform, turn key.

Radio Room (?!):

* Paperclip: Inside book on table.
* Passwords: Inside the book with the paperclip, note done the 3 names encased in brackets ("[" and "]"). They go in the order of first to last born.
* Hammer: right of shelves is a box of grenades on the floor. Behind the box is the hammer.
* Switch #1: On the wall above the box of grenades is a switch.
* Compass: brass/gold colored object found just to the left side of the radio.
* Switch #2: On the wall to the right of the radio table is a locked gray box. Use the paperclicp, compass, then the hammer to pick the lock; pressing the button above it will open the box to reveal the switch.

Go back to the first switch and click on the box next to it that says "Electronic Lock" on it. This is where you'll enter in the passwords you found inside the book. Enter the passwords in the following order: Johan, Tordenskjold, Rubeck. Once entered you'll hear electronic beeps and a panel to the left of the map is glowing red. Use the hammer on the panel to gain access to a hidden room.

Radar Room:
Click on the single computer on the right side. Press the red button to turn on the computer, starting your next mission.

Your next mission is to maneuver your boat (white dot) to the yellow dots while avoiding the enemies (red dots) that are roaming around. Each yellow dot contains 10 survivors so your white dot must remain on it until the yellow dot disappears (watch the # in the text box to see progress). You start at the bottom right corner of the radar, controlling only a single boat at a time. Consider the other two white dots as your "lives" should your boat encounter the enemy.

Using the Radar and Powermeter
Turning this on sweeps the area to detect the enemies, showing their movements. Remember to turn it off to conserve power. Power regenerates over time while the radar is off.

Navigation, Fuel, Speed
Use the left/right Navigation arrows to control direction of your movement; your direction is hilighted on the compass. Use left/right Speed arrows to control how quickly you move. While you can change your direction at any time, you can alter your speed only when your engines are on. Note that your fuel will deplete while your engine is on, and will not replenish like your Power does. Only way to have more fuel is to die so you can control your spare boat.

I reccommend slowing down as fast as you can right as you're on top of a yellow dot, then cut off the engine so your boat won't skid past your mark. Usually you'd want to be moving at about full speed. Turn the radar off frequently, especially after it's already made a complete sweep. After turning off the radar you can faintly see the enemies moving for a short period of time. Since it seems the location of the yellow dots are placed randomly I can only suggest you go after each in a counter-clockwise pattern.

by the way, LL, thanks for the pnc's i constantly check in to see if you have found any i havent played yet. good luck with trisk

yup, its danish. The title means 'be an officer' or 'become an officer', but you probably figured that out. When I've tried the game I'll post more translations.
I'm startling, by the way.

wow.. that didn't work out too well.. i chose the computer on the right and pushed the red light to turn it on and my screen went black.. i have no idea what just happened..

Comment 18, Tuesday, October 25th 2005 10:36:00 PM

Startling

:
Same thing happened to me. I'll try again tomorrow...

Anyway, the text at the beginning of the game basically just says that in the first part of the game you need to click your way to the radar, and that if you get stuck just keep searching.
In the bunker, if you try to exit, the text says 'you can't run away soldier!'
The voice mostly says 'Hurry up soldier', 'good work soldier' or 'concentration! We got a job to do!'

I have the key for the door straight ahead in the first hall and figure that the pass is to do with the letters picked up from under the pillows. Am I on the right track? A hint to help out would be nice.

Nevermind... it was just a combo of the four. I figure it is a language barrier that makes that part guesswork. What does 'alfa' mean you danes?

Spoiler for magnet:

You have to get a sharp up angle from the barrels going up into the pipes, then click again to get closer, there is a small red item to the right of the pipe mid screen.

Alfa means the letter A, Uniform means the letter U and Foxtrot means the letter F. It's like the alfabeth. The police and the military in Norway uses this a lot.
