Lost Survival Mission
Hey, now we get Lost on UK television, the old "I am lost" game has been removed (I didn't know what it was when I first played, and now it's one of my favourite shows). Anyway all is not... er... lost..., as there's the new Lost Survival Mission to play with. Over to Merel for the info on this new, slightly unusual, point'n'click game:

The old ''I Am Lost'' game is gone, but now you can play this "Survival Mission''. Point, click and drag. You're on a tropical island, and you have to collect items to keep your health, water and food level ok. But you can only carry 8 items, you can discard them in order to pick up new items. Choose well, or else you'll die.

I love all things to do with Lost so I'm slightly biased on this one, but it is a fun game, and just like the series the jungle looks excellent [subbed by merel & koko].

I played this just yesterday and kind of got confused.
There were a few things I did and I got the 'congratulations, you have beaten the island' message...but it seemed to me there was still other things to do, so I'm not sure if I have beaten it.
Just as bizarre as the TV show ;o)

There are numbers on the side of the hatch corresponding to the winning lottery ticket.

I haven't done so out of fairness to others, but the dynamite and the matches might be the key, or the mathematic notes.

WARNING…THIS POST IS ONE BIG SPOILER

At the far left plane wreck you will find:
A camera, a lotto ticket, a video player, meds *

On the far left trail you will find:
Knives *, Water bottles in a cooler *, sewing kit, meds *, nuts *

On the center left trail you will find:
A water bottle *, meals *, video camera, pilot wings, guitar, golf clubs, number sheet, bag with black & white stones (take them off the skeleton), water source * (need water bottles)

On the center right trail you will find:
Hand cuffs, bananas *, illegal drugs, back gammon game, send an email message, and kill the boar game *(note: need either knives or gun to get unlimited food)

On the far right trail you will find:
Pineapple *, map, A rope trap (note: need knives to escape), bananas *, matches, gun * (in case at bottom of pool), shovel, compass, mutt, comic book, dynamite, and a hatch with numbers on it (clean the hatch).

All items marked with a (*) are important and can be used.

Now there are only three things to worry about; health, water, & food

1) Find and keep meds, they are unlimited so use them as much as needed this will keep the health at max.
2) Find and fill the water bottle cooler, this will give you an unlimited supply of water.
3) With the knife or gun kill the pigs to give you an unlimited supply of food. (note: all other food items are single use)

This will give you either 4 or 5 open carry slots in which to carry around and try items to see if there are any other workable items or workable relationships.

If you find any other workable items please post them…Thank you.

To open the hatch you have to have the correct combination of items in your possession <Just think about it a while…It’s not that hard…LOL> then use the dynamite and the matches and blow the hatch. Inside you will find more food, guns, and a very irritating computer game…that may open the next door.

I think it might have something to do with having the polar bear comic and vincent at the same time - they are in the area with the smoke column. Just testing it now (have already shot boar and cannot use matches on dynamite).

I think the answer may be that it's impossible.

Yeah, it looks like they made this before season 2 started. So of course they are not going to let you get into the hatch before the characters (on the show) had themselves gotten in. So for all you desperately trying to find some way to get into the hatch...DON'T! It's a total waste of time. You simply can't do it. It reminds me of that book called "The Maze" by Christopher Manson. What a piece of garbage that was. On the surface it was intriguing, but beneath it totally lacked any coherent content. What a disappointment. What a disappointment this game was as well. I was hoping to engross myself in a deep, intricate puzzle; instead I found myself wasting several hours trying to do something that was never possible to begin with. Ugh! Shame on the creators. SHAME!!!!!!
