NFH Propaganda
Not so much a point'n'click game, although there is a little bit of clickery to do, as a creepy labyrinthe of a website for you to investigate. If you remember 99 Rooms then NFH Propaganda will be familiar territory for you. As with all creepy sites the usual recommendations apply: wait to play until dark, then it's lights off and sound up. Spare underwear within easy reach.

Similar to 99rooms. but IMHO a notch below it. But more interactive i guess. Sometimes you gotta click more than 1 thing and so on.

I do believe that this game is not yet completed. At least, that's what I would hope, otherwise, yes the ending was disappointing. Otherwise, the game was very well-executed. It was certainly interesting getting to the 'end'.

On the third screen, my cursor turns to a hand over the truck cab. I click on it, and nothing happens. I can't find anywhere else to click. Any suggestions?

Comment 14, Saturday, September 3rd 2005 09:53:00 PM

Tafkam

:
Tasha, i assume you noticed the red arrows at the bottom of the screen: the ones on the right take you to a new or closer scene, and the ones on the left take you back to a previous scene.

also try using the Tab key to see where else you can click.

and as far as i could tell, not all sites were connected -- go the Map (at the bottom of the scene) to find other scenes. (on the Map, you begin at the top left.)

Jules, LOVELY stream-of-consciousness lol.

Comment 15, Saturday, September 3rd 2005 09:56:00 PM

Tasha

:
Thanks Tafkam. I didn't see the red arrows before. I had to hit F11 to make my screen big enough to see them.

Hmm, the creator of this really has a lot of bondage pics and horror movie pic throughout...
Not bad except for the loading thing mentioned, and when I went to look at the "Map", I got lost as what room I was in the click back into the maze. Also levels named "hell" and the like where disapointing... Oh well, love the horror pics in the other levels, or room, whatever you want to call them.

Yeah, the loading screen really lets it down. A better way would have been to leave the current room screen up, a subtle load bar appear to show the progress of the next screen, but nothing that really distracts from your enjoyment of the game. I know they're trying to get awareness for their propaganda whatchemacallit but I felt it was overkill. I was facinated by 99rooms and went through the lot. THis, I gave it 5 mins tops. Too broken up, the tension is lost. Hopefully they'll sort this out when its' finished.

It made me laugh twice. Other than that, at least there were some creepy bits, although a lot of the rooms were superfluous, like the 'hell' one and 'morbid success' (which was one of the rooms that made me laugh). They should really finish it D:

Not that scary. Maybe a little creepy... but not scary. Rather than trying to really frighten you, it just goes for an "ew!" reaction. The bodies weren't terribly realistic; not that I'm actually in favor of more realistic mutilated corpses. :) Rather disappointing, especially because the creator obviously put a lot of work into it.

A little off topic but I just wanted to offer my condolences to those of you in the USA who have friends and family that may have been affected by hurricane Katrina...we've heard quite a lot about it over here.

OK maybe that was A LOT off topic...

I got so board I finally had to quit after watching 8 or 9 hundred pages of the same old thing or I was going to fall asleep. I got the gist of the main idea in the first ten or twelve screens, the rest was just more of the same... yawn. It would have been MUCH more effective if it was only 1/4 as long. I'd say they defined the term "overkill" (get it? overkill?) MUOOOHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...HA...H ...hack ... wheeze...
